"I found this little gem on VRBO and couldn't have been much happier about it. I'm the Head Coach for a performance Ski team and we had an event in Sunday River (30min away) and as this was a pretty important event seclusion and staying away from outside distractions is paramount. The morning after our arrival night I went for a walk out on to Papoose pond and noticed some iced over Ice fishing holes. After some time we found a local to Auger in a few holes for us and I was able to introduce my athletes to Ice Fishing right out the back door. we sat by the fire every night and the athletes were able to relax and enjoy themselves. The house was exceptionally clean upon out arrival and well stocked with fire wood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting!"

"It was a great cabin for our big family. The cabin was well equipped for us to cook our meals. Our kids had a great time walking around the forest and sledding down the hill in the front yard. The fireplace was wonderful on the cold days and nights. Loved it. Also great for it to be "connected"."

Superb Vacation House, Enjoyed with Lifelong Friends in Picturesque Mountain Setting
"I stayed in early May with eight other grown adult men (mostly lifelong friends) to celebrate my best friend's upcoming wedding. We aren't your typical "bachelor party animals" so we wanted to rent a nice house with many amenities and a close proximity to hiking locations. The Bingham House, right off of Sunday River and overlooking a pristine golf course and vast, picturesque mountain landscape, had it all. Besides grocery trips to the very closeby town center, a couple hiking trips and some bike rides, we actually found ourselves staying at the house the majority of the weekend!
We thoroughly enjoyed the pool table, the hot tub, the firepit, the two gas grills (although one was a little finnicky), the expansive kitchen (which provided the chefs of our group ample space and all the necessary cooking items, utensils, dishes and ingredients), the coffeemaker and coffee, the big fridge to hold all of our food and ale, the Pac Man in the game room, the Netflix, and the poker table! Like I said, it wasn't missing much! The only trouble we ran into was the Wifi, but Gretchen answered my text within 20 minutes and helped us fix the issue. She was accomodating and helpful from the start of the rental process, and made herself very available the entirety of our stay.
We walked down to the pool but it was a bit too cold out even though we hit 80 degrees the day we left. We were just so delighted at the unlimited options we had at our fingertips at the wonderfully-kept Bingham House. We will surely be back."

"I brought my husband here as a surprise for his 40th birthday. His eyes POPPED when we drove up. The house is so gorgeous, smells like a cedar chest, and is so relaxing! We did a quick grocery run at the local store in Bethel (about 15 minutes away) but there was spices, coffee filters, olive oil, etc at the cabin. We enjoyed our coffees on the porch each morning and soaked in the sun in the afternoons. We ventured out a few times to eat. I would recommend pizza at "Home Slice Pizza" (VERY GOOD) and the gelato at "DiCocoa's" (If you are a vegetarian, get a little of everything to eat....no kidding. That's what I did!)
Scott sent instructions for a hiking trail off of the road, but we never ended up finding it (we bushwhacked most of the time. hahaha). We took the kayaks out another day and were the only ones on the lake. There was a full moon one night and sitting on the deck, listening to the loons, with the full moon shining...pure magic.
Although the point was to unplug and get away, my husband was able to watch the patriots game (although the remote didn't work, we figured it out through the tv)"
