  • Repeat visit--third time and we LOVE this place

"We have met here for three years now for an annual reunion ski weekend with several other couples (plus we have 2 children making it 10 people total and we fit comfortably and there are enough beds, bathrooms, dishes, etc....). This home is fantastic and Nadine and her family make us so welcome each time. We *love* the fireplace, the architecture, the layout (open kitchen-dining-living area). Our two boys look forward to the bunk beds, the bin full of LEGO to build with plus games, the annual Air Hockey tournament, and we always feel at home here. The kitchen is well-equipped and we have prepared delicious meals. It is conveniently located to either Sunday River or Mt. Abram ski areas. Thank you for allowing us to visit--we look forward to next time!"

  • Very impressed

"We host a trip to Sunday River every year for 6 to 8 couples and this house was the most comfortable house we have rented and best for hosting. We were thrilled to find the kitchen well equipped with modern appliances and every kitchen utensil we could need. The living room area was comfortable and had a large television, great for watching the game. The game room is fun and inviting. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The "dorm" room on the fourth floor was more comfortable that we thought it would be. Some of the beds are around corners that offer some privacy which our guests enjoyed. The location was private but close to the mountain and restaurants. The hot tub was easy to use, and very necessary after a day on the slopes. The owners were very friendly and attentive and able to answer all of our questions in a timely fashion. I would recommend this house to a large group, or a large family with kids or teenagers."

  • Perfect summer weekend getaway!

"My husband and I went with a few friends to Bethel for the 4th of July weekend getaway this year! The house is amazing and comfortably slept our 8 guests. We loved the screened in porch and the large kitchen table that would seat everyone for dinners and game night! The house was super-clean and had all of the amenities we needed. It's walking distance to the cute town center as well as several bars and restaurants. Sunday River is a short drive and they had a lot of fun summer activities! We loved it there and would go back in a heartbeat!"

  • Perfect getaway

"I brought my husband here as a surprise for his 40th birthday. His eyes POPPED when we drove up. The house is so gorgeous, smells like a cedar chest, and is so relaxing! We did a quick grocery run at the local store in Bethel (about 15 minutes away) but there was spices, coffee filters, olive oil, etc at the cabin. We enjoyed our coffees on the porch each morning and soaked in the sun in the afternoons. We ventured out a few times to eat. I would recommend pizza at "Home Slice Pizza" (VERY GOOD) and the gelato at "DiCocoa's" (If you are a vegetarian, get a little of everything to eat....no kidding. That's what I did!) Scott sent instructions for a hiking trail off of the road, but we never ended up finding it (we bushwhacked most of the time. hahaha). We took the kayaks out another day and were the only ones on the lake. There was a full moon one night and sitting on the deck, listening to the loons, with the full moon shining...pure magic. Although the point was to unplug and get away, my husband was able to watch the patriots game (although the remote didn't work, we figured it out through the tv)"
