  • Spacious, yet cozy

"We spent the week of 2/14/15 - 2/20/15 at Eden Ridge. We were surprised to find how spacious the condo is, yet at the same time very cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals during our stay. The convenience and warmth provided by the gas fireplace in the living room makes for a cozy atmosphere. The 2 master bedrooms are spacious and the bunk room was a big hit with the kids. The condo is in a great location, only about 10 minutes from Sunday River and only a few minutes to quite a few restaurants on Bethel. The garage of course is an added bonus that came in handy as we did get a snow a few of the nights we were there. This condo really exceeded our expectations and we hope to return next winter."

  • Bethel Chalet

"We rented this home in Feb. 2015. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was a nice surprise to see brand new flooring throughout the entire home. We had two families (4 adults, 7 kids) and there was just enough room. The hot tub was an added bonus after a day on Sunday River, which was only 15 or so minutes away. I would love to stay here again."

  • Gorgeous house and stunning views!

"This house was gorgeous inside and out- it had fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the mountain facing side (including the two-story living room), and a stunning breakfast bar (likely made from a tree from the property, though I'm not sure on that one!). The rooms were all good-sized and most had their own temperature control so everyone could stay comfortable, and the three full bathrooms were useful for large groups. We had stunning views of the foliage, and I can imagine it being gorgeous in the winter or summer as well! Our group of 9 adults was very comfortable, and I think another one or two could have stayed without anyone needing a top bunk; for families with teens or children, 13 would be comfortable. The owner was accommodating and responsive to work with on our stay. The only cons/things to be aware of: the walls were on the thin side so conversations carry pretty well through the house - we turned our fan on so it took a lot of noise to bother us, though! Also, 4WD is recommended in the winter but the driveway is pretty steep - those of us with manual transmissions got the trick down pretty quickly of hitting the driveway in second gear to make it up all the way, but I would drive an automatic if you can! Overall, we had an awesome, fun stay, and thought the house was better than the wedding venue :-)"

  • Perfect getaway

"I brought my husband here as a surprise for his 40th birthday. His eyes POPPED when we drove up. The house is so gorgeous, smells like a cedar chest, and is so relaxing! We did a quick grocery run at the local store in Bethel (about 15 minutes away) but there was spices, coffee filters, olive oil, etc at the cabin. We enjoyed our coffees on the porch each morning and soaked in the sun in the afternoons. We ventured out a few times to eat. I would recommend pizza at "Home Slice Pizza" (VERY GOOD) and the gelato at "DiCocoa's" (If you are a vegetarian, get a little of everything to eat....no kidding. That's what I did!) Scott sent instructions for a hiking trail off of the road, but we never ended up finding it (we bushwhacked most of the time. hahaha). We took the kayaks out another day and were the only ones on the lake. There was a full moon one night and sitting on the deck, listening to the loons, with the full moon shining...pure magic. Although the point was to unplug and get away, my husband was able to watch the patriots game (although the remote didn't work, we figured it out through the tv)"
