"We held a family reunion for 22 (including our four children and their families) at Glen House, 8-15 August 2015, and it was immensely successful. Planning began more than a year in advance. The owner, Gretchen, was always prompt in answering our questions and helpful in making arrangements for our visit. The house (or should I call it a mansion) is located adjacent to the Sunday River golf course and features a stunning view of the surrounding wooded hills through huge picture windows. The house was in immaculate condition. The well-manicured grounds featured a swimming pool, hot tub, professional outdoor grill, playground, and a volleyball court on the grass. The pool table, ping-pong table, arcade games, and movie theater (including popcorn machine) kept kids and adults happily occupied, especially on the day it poured rain continuously. The bedrooms were spacious and lavishly furnished. The two kitchens were well supplied with all those odds and ends one normally doesn’t think about but occasionally needs. Gretchen supplied an extensive catalog of places to see and things to do in the area—so many choices that we will have to return to do them all justice. We have had seven reunions in locales ranging from the Northwest Pacific shore to the Colorado Rockies to Door County, Wisconsin, to the North Carolina beach, but Glen House in western Maine tops them all."

"wonderful cottage on the lake. We had delightful weather and enjoyed our stay. Our family came from the other end of the lake in their motor boat towing 7 blow up floats & rafts. They wondered what was taking so long....a cinder block attached to the last raft as an anchor. We had lots of fun in the sun and enjoyed the paddle boat. Many memories as my family rented this cottage when I was a child & I also stayed with my young children."

"This was our 14/15th year of "girls weekend away" for golf and it was my turn to plan it. I have been to VRBO's but never did this myself. Anne's house was a gift and the reviews were right on. The house is so clean and walking into the open kitchen/living room area is great. My favorite was the porch for coffee in the morning with rocking chairs overlooking the pond, 2 bedrooms downstairs and loft and bedroom upstairs... It was the best. Loved the fresh flowers on the table. I have recommended the place to many and I'll be back with my family. It's a great spot and so thank you Anne for sharing your home."

"Have this for family yearly reunion. Owner is very responsive and quick to help w/ any questions. Lots of activities close by n plenty entertainment within the house. Don't even have time to watch TV. Free access to Bethel Country Club is a plus. Everyone really enjoy every minute of it. Thank you!"
