Beautiful, private, well appointed lake front home
"A great private vacation retreat on a lesser trafficked, crystal clear lake within easy reach of Portland, Freeport, and NH mountains. Excellent condition, newer home with all the extras to include large well equipped game and bunk room on the lower level and comfortable bedrooms on the main and upper levels all with lake facing windows to bring in the breeze. We enjoyed the swimming in the cool water and nightly fires in an area that felt like there was no one else around - private. Boat rental was easy to reserve quality equipment and spent a day on the lake with lunch at the northern end at the store. We bought our seafood fresh off the boats on Commercial St in Portland, and enjoyed a large family and friends old fashioned lobster and seafood cookout with ease thanks to the layout, outdoor space, and kitchen pots/tools and large gas grill. Short easy drive from PWM without the traffic volume associated with the greater Sebago Lake area (RTE 302 not required). Naples is few minutes away and provides good views of Long Lake, dining options, and seaplane rides that provide an alternative view of this beautiful area. We loved Becky and Warrens' hospitality and their wonderful lake front property. The pictures on this site accurately depict this rental. Our family had a great vacation here and recommend to families of all ages."

So wonderful that I almost DON'T want to tell folks about it
"We rented this beautiful, large, exceptionally stocked and maintained house on lovely Thompson Lake in Maine. It easily and comfortably accommodated our family of 10 from age 2 to 76. It strikes the perfect balance between nature, water based activities such as swimming, boating and fishing, and just plain good old fashioned relaxing in a quiet, pristine location. We loved it...and can recommend it to anyone who wants a serene getaway. The owners have made sure that guests are taken care of and even provide a binder that is filled with useful information from where to eat to how to reset the internet modem! We loved, loved, loved the place. Thanks again for a MAGNIFICENT stay."

"What a beautiful, pristine spot. We woke up every morning to sparkling water, loon calls, and fresh lake air. I have done my fair share of touring the lakes regions of Maine and NH and I have to say that Thompson may be the most special. Clear water for swimming, hardly any boat traffic, lots of fun islands to explore. We kayaked, read in the hammock, grilled amazing meals, and just relaxed. On the one rainy day, it was fun to take advantage of the pool table and foosball, plus the very cozy game room upstairs for movie watching. There is also a massive pile of wood for crackling fires. I cannot wait to go back."

"This is our third summer here on vacation. We bring the whole family, the grandkids and the 90 year great grandmother. The location is amazing. Perfect for the little ones to swim, the waterskiing is great. We love it here."
