"The lake was beautiful and the house was delightful -full of lake charm. We loved hearing the loons! My grown children were happy to sit in the dock, kayak or canoe it have fun playing lawn games!! Very peaceful and relaxing!! Our dogs spent the week in the water and were happily exhausted by the end of the week. We hated to leave❤️"

"4 of us spent 2 nights in The Bethel Chalet earlier this month and all really enjoyed it. It was a short drive to Grafton Notch State Park and only about an hours drive to Mount Washington in NH. The place was clean and really spacious! Everything was in working order and Chris made the booking process really easy. Would highly recommend!! Thanks again!"

"This is our second year staying at this place. I'm not sure how you could find something better. House is great, location is private, the lake is a few steps away from the deck. Our stay with the kids was great. We also have a dog that (with my reluctance) must come on vacation with us. This requirement eliminates a large percentage of rental opportunities and this place accommodates that need. Restaurants, and any shopping you need are minutes away. Thanks again - we look forward to staying again in 2016."

"We liked very much our four day stay in the Sugarloaf Pine Home in Stratton. It was better than all our expectations.
The wooden floors and walls create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the dining room is spacious. We appreciated this a lot since we prefer to have our dinners 'at home' specially after hiking days (though there is a restaurant at less than 1 mile). In the evening, we relaxed in the confortable living room sometimes watching TV, and for sleeping, the rooms and beds are very confortable.
The environment is also very quiet, the house being isolated by beautiful trees,
among them a lot of pines which we found very nice and impressive. Thus, even though the house is close to road 27, we have the feeling of being in a remote place.
Not least for people who like hiking like us, the house is close to the trailheads to the highest peaks in the area ( Bigelow, Saddleback,...). We were very happy about this, not to mention the trailhead of Cranberry peak which is less than 1 mile away.
If we ever come back in the area, it is without doubt that we would appreciate to rent it again."
