"This wonderful cottage exudes charm and character, and its location directly on the water simply cannot be beat!!! My family and I enjoyed a fantastic stay in this beautiful place – the cottage is lovely and clean and very comfortable (though, honestly, it’s hard to tear yourself away from the kitchen/sunroom, with its huge bay windows and stunning view, to use any other room in the house). We really appreciated having kayaks on site to use, and we had the beach – and usually, it seemed, the entire cove – to ourselves. The water was warm enough for swimming, and no matter where we were during the day – hiking, exploring, whale watching – we made sure to be back in time to grab an Adirondack chair and enjoy a happy hour featuring one of the most spectacular sunsets you’ll experience anywhere! Thank you to the owners for sharing this very special home with guests, and we are already looking forward to a return visit!"

Need a break? Book your week now and prepare for great sunrises and sunsets and fun adventures.
"I have been fortunate to visit this incredible get-a-away in two ways. First with family and friends with teen and their friends and the second time with an adult friend. Both times were incredible. We all love the hunt for sea glass. We did more exploring with the family and I did not think it could get any better. The second time was peaceful, long walks, watching the sun rise and set, some reading and eating lobster sandwiches and playing cards were highlights as well as a trip to Portland and of course hunting for sea glass! The house is gorgeous, comfortable and has all the amenities of home. The owners have great art and decor as well as a lot of books about the history of the island and what a rich history. Do not pass on this affordable, comfortable and interesting place. I can assure you will return many times over and find new treasures and rest each visit. I love it."

"I was up for my family reunion, and was only 10 mins. from my relatives in their rental. It was easy to find places to eat, shop and explore! The cottage was very clean and like it's name cozy! I sat on the back porch every morning with my coffee and watched the wildlife go about their business. I highly recommend this place for single or couple renters!!"

"What's better than staying at a house on the Maine coast in July? Maybe owning the house. But if that's not possible, rent this one. The house is very comfortable and is surrounded by water. Be advised, however, that the tides are fairly drastic, leaving exposed mud on the Eastern side of the house. Swimming is very doable during high tide, but getting into the water at low tide is impossible on the Eastern side and difficult at best on the Western side.
The owners were very accommodating, but perhaps a little too relaxed about making sure there was enough propane in the tank, which ran out midway through dinner one night. C'mon guys, get a spare tank! Also, the electric range is a bit finicky, with burners sometimes shutting down for no apparent reason. And if you want to make pancakes for breakfast, be sure and bring your own pan or griddle.
That being said, I'd stay there again (if the owners will let me after this review). It's all about location, and this property has it."
