  • Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

"My family and I ( 9 of us).. just finished our summer vacation here. The weather was wonderful ( thank you mother nature), however we really wanted to say how lovely the place was. Very well stocked ( paper towels, toilet paper, soap, trash bags.. linens) and the view was amazing. If you have teenagers who are addicted to TV or video games, it is best to bring a game system and plenty of movies - it's only basic cable. View is amazing did I mention that already??? We spent time on the river in the Kyacks and it was close to Freeport shopping. We will be keeping this on our list of vacation spots."

  • Great experience!

"This was a spacious, comfortable and clean house. The kitchen had everything you could need and there was plenty of space. The location was great; nice local bakery, ice cream shop and dog shop. The beach was a few minutes away, and beautiful. I wish I had time to take a bike ride around the area, but it was a busy week. The owner couldn't have been more pleasant! I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Portland area."

  • Perfection!

"Lofty was an ideal getaway and gathering spot for family members from 3 states. Everyone asked, “How did you find this perfect place?” There are gorgeous views over Quahog Bay on three sides. We enjoyed watching the lobstermen checking their traps out front, and observing the many kinds of boat traffic in the channel. The kayaks provided make it easy to explore the shore and islands. Harpswell has an abundance of stunning preserves for hiking, beach combing and wave watching: the Giant Steps, Cliff Trail, Bowdoin Coastal Studies Center, Houghton Graves Park, and many more we didn’t have time to explore. Lofty is also minutes from every kind of eatery you could wish for. The cottage is so welcoming; attractively furnished, sparkling clean and very comfortable. It's just as lovely as it looks in the photos. The owners are friendly and quite responsive to questions. We highly recommend it."
