"My husband and I spent a week in August here and absolutely loved it. The house is as bright, immaculate, and beautifully decorated as in the pictures, and the views really are that good. The neighborhood is very walkable and charming and the neighbors are friendly. We rented kayaks for the week from someone just down the street and were able to beach them in the cove at the end of the neighborhood, about a 5 minute walk from the house-- very convenient. We bought some art from another neighbor who has a stunning studio in her home.
The only caveat is that the water is not drinkable and you must bring your own-- they provided a gallon which for us was not enough but we didn't re-stock early enough so go ahead and bring more than you think you need! Also, if you are a person who wants long showers or baths, this is not the place for you. Only a stand-up shower that isn't designed to run for a long period of time (water well).
Our hosts were helpful, responsive, and hospitable. They even shared some of their fresh-caught Maine lobsters and showed us how to prepare them! This was one of our best vacations and we hope to return."

"Rented this beauty while finishing a new home, on the off-season/ summer cusp. April-June. It couldn't have been more gorgeous, very serene, and yet close to everything. You wouldn't even know your almost at the center of all Mid-Coast Maine has to offer. Once you drive back the road, to see the beautiful home, and surrounding water views (from every bedroom) you could be on a Maine island. Owners, Marcy and Joel, are lovely. Very accommodating, and extremely responsive to every need. The fireplace on the large dining patio is a wonderful bonus for family dinners. Stayed with 4 children part of the time, and it is family friendly, like the owners, times 10. I begged to stay there all year round! Lol! You can kayak, wade the water when the tide is out, hike the property (expansive forest in both sides) then go out to dinner close by. What a lovely spot! I'd reccomend it for any age, and anyone wanting to get away! Very reasonably priced, which makes everything all the easier! And you don't need anything but your suitcase, as everything you need is there. Great kitchen for cooking, amazing grill (I gotta have one like theirs) great linens, extraordinary clean and well appointed!! Truly awesome!!! Thanks for a great stay!!!"

"My family has been coming here to this home for nearly 10 years. The boys couldn't have imagined summers without being here. Now grown up my husband and I still can't get here enough. The minute we step off the ferry were in heaven. We completely decompress here like no other place. Love the people, love the privacy, sunsets, no thought of time, it's home for us!!! Thank you for sharing S&G"

"Arrived here at the end of a short, scenic drive out from the Portland, Maine Jetport. I was greeted by the owners to an awesome marine panorama with views, from atop a embankment just feet from the high tide line, east across the sound to Harpswell and looking southward. The unit itself tends toward pleasant rustic and includes a kitchenette with fridge, two large bedrooms, a bath and a wonderful glassed-in sitting room. A cable TV was available, but I don't do TV, and a small propane heater was not needed in the warm July weather. A short drive takes you to the town of Brunswick, which has numerous stores and restaurants, and also accesses coastal route 1 - the main gateway to the beautiful Maine coast both north and south. The sound of the seabirds and the tidal flows lulled me to sleep and greeted me each morning. Finally, watching the private fireworks on the far side of Harpswell Sound the evening of the Fourth was a treat. I'd recommend this place to anyone."
