  • Wonderful house in the best location!

"If you're debating on what house to rent in Maine...stop, this is it. We were 6 adults on vacation from NYC and this fit our needs perfectly. The house is huge! and has everything you could hope for. The porches alone are worth the stay, but you can also grab the deck chairs and sit by the ocean which is right there!!! We loved the back patio with the big picnic table with a grill. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and Jane who was lovely to work with and answered all my questions. Bailey island is so cute and quaint and if you do stay here I recommend all things baked from the Salt Cod Cafe which is just 3 min down the road. A blueberry muffin with butter and a cup of coffee sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean is euphoric."

  • This is the place to stay !!!

"This is the place to stay!! South Portland and the Willard Beach neighborhood in particular is quite a unique area with Scoops Ice Cream, a bagel shop, and several locally owned very good restaurants within walking distance (or very short driving distance). This cottage is clean and is beautifully situated on the property of the owner allowing views of the bay and Willard Beach and the islands of Casco Bay. I am so happy I found this cottage. I had a fabulous week there, exploring all up and down the Maine coast (from Kennebunkport to Camden), island hopping off the coast of Portland, discovering lighthouses along the way, visiting interesting towns, and enjoying scenic drives (especially Routes 1 and 88 going north from Portland to Camden, then south through Cape Elizabeth to Old Orchard Beach and Kennebunkport) ~ stay off the toll highway...take the scenic routes -- lots to do and see in the whole area and this beach cottage at Willard Beach is great to have as a home port during your stay. The owner provides you with a list of interesting things to do and good places to eat. There is plenty to see and do in a week's time and still have time to kick back and relax, walking on the beach, or just enjoying watching the boats in the bay from the front porch of the cottage. The cottage is very convenient to Portland without having to be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Portland all the time (Portland is very touristy and can get pretty crowded with traffic along the wharf, but it doesn't take long to figure out how to get around and where to park when there are things you want to do there - like riding the Casco Bay Ferry to do some sight seeing and island hopping or taking a Windjammer sailing cruise). Be sure you have your camera ... there are lots of photo opportunities waiting to be taken !!"

  • Perfect Maine Retreat

"Three of us stayed in this idyllic Brunswick cottage in August. The location couldn't be better, at the end of a little-traveled road and right on the water. We were close to Brunswick, Freeport and Portland and all they have to offer and yet, it was so completely peaceful that we heard only the tidal water and the birds. The cottage is very comfortable and attractive, and though the kitchen is small, we were able to make most of our dinners at home and enjoy them while watching the sun go down. The hosts are beyond nice, though very careful about the tenants' privacy. I'd very much like to return."

  • Wonderful weekend getaway!

"A group of friends stayed at Aberdeen for a weekend, and we all agreed we wished it was longer (like forever!). The location is absolutely stunning, and while it is remote and secluded it was fairly easily accessible, even in the winter weather. The house is beautifully decorated and very homey, and there was more than enough space for our group of 10. We spent most of our time in the livingroom, gazing at the view and thoroughly enjoying the woodstove. A lot of our visit centered around cooking, and the kitchen is well equipped and large enough for many people to be in it at once. Leading up to our trip, Natalie and her family were very friendly and quick to answer questions about the home and logistics, making the planning process very easy. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone, and hope to come back one day!"
