"A great home and excellent communication with the owners. This house worked out perfectly for our family. It is very comfortable and cozy. Perfect location for our kids who love to go to the pier to fish. We enjoyed using the lobster pot a few times during the week getting our lobsters locally on the Island. We used the fire pit for smores each night. My son used one of the great bikes that were available. It was very nice to just have to bring our clothing, personal items, and food for the week. Once again you are dealing with lovely, down to earth owners of this property. Thank you Christine for allowing us to use your home!"

"This charming cottage on Highland lake is convenient, cozy, and well outfitted for the summer traveler. The Pine Cone theme is prevalent throughout the decor. The modern kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals to enjoy in the cozy eating nook or outside on the deck. The beds are comfortable. The gas fireplace is handy to take the chill off. Sunset views were spectacular, and if you enjoy fishing this is the spot for you. The resident loons put on an audio show and if you are lucky, they will swim by.
The building is an old camp that has been built onto and enhanced over the years. Very spacious inside and the photos are true to what is there. While it was wheelchair accessible for guests, once inside you need to take care as the floors and deck do slope. Neither bedroom is wheelchair accessible. The owners were very responsive when we emailed questions.
Inside was very clean. Outside deck and windows needed some spring clean up from the pine needles and other tree debris. There were other small maintenance items needing attention, but nothing we couldn't deal with. We were first guests of the season.
We enjoyed our time at the lake and would recommend this charming and quirky cabin."

"Our family had a fantastic time at Aberdeen! The home was beautiful, roomy and extremely clean. We had everything we needed to fit our families needs. The couple that keeps an eye on the house were so sweet. The owners were the kindest, most helpful people and checked in on us during our trip. We've rented before and no one has ever done that. The view from the home was amazing and the nature surrounding us was unbelievable. We saw huge deer and a bald eagle, to name a few...
If you stay here and are looking for a beach, ask the locals about Cedar Beach on Baileys Island. This hidden gem was loved by all of us...I just wish I knew about it sooner. It's a bit off the beaten path and you need to walk a distance for the car, but well worth it. There is so much to do in the area too...the guys went fishing and the whole family went sailing on a beautiful 70' schooner. A must! We were lucky to be there for the 4th of July...and the fireworks display were AMAZING! And not at all what we expected for a tiny island.
You cannot go wrong choosing this beautiful home."

"We had a small family reunion, of sorts, with 3 families coming from all different parts of the U.S. What a wonderful surprise, when we pulled up to the house. It’s just as beautiful as the pictures. And they have done sooo many updates, to make the home clean, cozy and bright inside. This truly is a beautiful 2-story.
The home is immaculate. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed so that you don’t need to bring anything but food. I actually brought wine glasses, just in case, there were none. Oh, I promise you, anything and everything you’d ever want to prepare a meal, and set up a table is there for your use. So appreciated that.
And you can see the ocean from the dining table, the couch and the windows upstairs. Wish I could post pictures. It’s truly heaven.
Crescent Beach is just a short walk down the street, and what a wonderful beach it is. You will find people walking and jogging every day.
The Good Table Restaurant, just down the main street, was delish. A must do!
We want to buy the house…..that’s how much we loved it. I think that pretty much sums it up. You won’t be disappointed. Much thanks to the Doucette’s for making this a worry free trip. They are wonderful!"
