"Some old college friends and I stayed here for a long weekend as a mini-reunion: 3 couples with 4 kids between us.
The house was spacious and immaculate, both inside and out. The cleanest and nicest vacation rental I've ever stayed in. There were 10 of us, and we had plenty of room to cook, hang out, or find space to be alone. It was very thoughtfully appointed -- lots of towels, and blankets, kitchenware, an ipod stereo, and even toys and books. The manager left lots of helpful notes (how to access wifi etc) and was very prompt about answering emails during the booking process.
The area is very quiet and residential. We were content to take walks and just hang out, but note we had to drive for food and the beach. Also note - we didn't get cell reception in the house, but there's a landline and wifi."

"Highly recommend this property. The owner was responsive and helpful, the home is gorgeous, and the setting is stunning. We saw spectacular sunrises and sunsets, lobster boats, and deer. We relaxed on the porch, walked on the beach, and chatted in the kitchen. Thank you!"

"What's better than staying at a house on the Maine coast in July? Maybe owning the house. But if that's not possible, rent this one. The house is very comfortable and is surrounded by water. Be advised, however, that the tides are fairly drastic, leaving exposed mud on the Eastern side of the house. Swimming is very doable during high tide, but getting into the water at low tide is impossible on the Eastern side and difficult at best on the Western side.
The owners were very accommodating, but perhaps a little too relaxed about making sure there was enough propane in the tank, which ran out midway through dinner one night. C'mon guys, get a spare tank! Also, the electric range is a bit finicky, with burners sometimes shutting down for no apparent reason. And if you want to make pancakes for breakfast, be sure and bring your own pan or griddle.
That being said, I'd stay there again (if the owners will let me after this review). It's all about location, and this property has it."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Turtles' Nest cottage. We enjoyed the sunset and ocean views. We loved the beautiful back garden. Adding to it's charm was the occasional visit by a couple of local chickens.
The kitchen appeared well stocked and everything we needed was available. The upstairs beds were comfortable. There was a convenient full bath located on the first level. The family room furniture was very comfortable and there was an assortment of books, dvds, and a few games for relaxing with the family.
The location was close to everything. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the beaches, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores and just a few more minutes to the ferry.
We would stay at this property again."
