"I have been fortunate to visit this incredible get-a-away in two ways. First with family and friends with teen and their friends and the second time with an adult friend. Both times were incredible. We all love the hunt for sea glass. We did more exploring with the family and I did not think it could get any better. The second time was peaceful, long walks, watching the sun rise and set, some reading and eating lobster sandwiches and playing cards were highlights as well as a trip to Portland and of course hunting for sea glass! The house is gorgeous, comfortable and has all the amenities of home. The owners have great art and decor as well as a lot of books about the history of the island and what a rich history. Do not pass on this affordable, comfortable and interesting place. I can assure you will return many times over and find new treasures and rest each visit. I love it."

"From the time we walked in the door this house felt comfortable. It was so roomy and airy - with lots of windows. There was usually a nice breeze, but when there wasn't there were plenty of fans to move air around and we never felt hot. The beds very very comfortable, as was the sofa in the TV room. Having internet and cable was a great plus. The kitchen was large enough for all 3 of us to be working in it. Dover St. is a real gem since there are several locals on this street. The street was shorter than we expected, making the walk to the beach quick. Parking was easy with plentiful room for our two cars. The nice side yard was great for sitting outside to eat lunch or for just relaxing. There is a little store/deli steps down the street for necessities and delicious scones and breakfast sandwiches, and there is a lobsterman living across the street who sold us delicious lobsters that he cooked for us to pick up when we wanted them! How perfect! I think the only drawback was the small bathroom, but we made do. Vicky, the owner, was so very pleasant and helpful which we appreciated. We actually hated to leave at the end of the week. I would have loved to come back here next year for 3 weeks (one is just not enough for me), but cannot leave my shih tzu for that long so I will have to find a place that will allow a small dog.:("

"My wife and I had been to Peaks Island for a day trip when our boys were younger and always said we would like to come back. Well the boys are grown now with significant others and one grandson and we spent a week on Peaks Island that was wonderful. The house and the owners only added to the great time we had. The house was all that the description and pictures said it was. The deck looking over the ocean will wake you up in the morning and put you to sleep at night. We really missed it when we left. The last night my wife and I were going to the Inn for dinner and the major decision we had to make was to either walk or ride our bikes."

"What a gorgeous house and place for a relaxing vacation! There was plenty of room for 10 of us in this well layed out home. The house was stocked with everything you could need. The beach was steps away down a rocky path...so close! The sound of the waves at high tide was wonderful to fall asleep to. It was private yet still close enough. Bailey island is a very small but gorgeous island. Sunrise from this house was awesome. The people at morse's cribstone restaurant were wonderful. We went down to lands end and giants stairs. We also visited Freeport and wiscasset. The owner was very helpful and responded almost immediately with any questions I had. If we do another family get together we will definitely consider this place again!"
