"My wife and I had been to Peaks Island for a day trip when our boys were younger and always said we would like to come back. Well the boys are grown now with significant others and one grandson and we spent a week on Peaks Island that was wonderful. The house and the owners only added to the great time we had. The house was all that the description and pictures said it was. The deck looking over the ocean will wake you up in the morning and put you to sleep at night. We really missed it when we left. The last night my wife and I were going to the Inn for dinner and the major decision we had to make was to either walk or ride our bikes."

"We really enjoyed the house and its location on Little Sebago Lake, and its proximity to Portland, and the beaches. There were six of us, including 4 teenagers, and we were never without something to do. We spent a lot of time fishing off the dock, and took advantage of the two kayaks provided, to explore Spider Island and the coastline. Overall, we had a great trip. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house."

"This home was even more than we expected. With everything right there, that we could possibly need, we felt right at home immediately. It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was just incredible! The deck was peaceful, and the view was great. We definitely plan to go back again."

"What's better than staying at a house on the Maine coast in July? Maybe owning the house. But if that's not possible, rent this one. The house is very comfortable and is surrounded by water. Be advised, however, that the tides are fairly drastic, leaving exposed mud on the Eastern side of the house. Swimming is very doable during high tide, but getting into the water at low tide is impossible on the Eastern side and difficult at best on the Western side.
The owners were very accommodating, but perhaps a little too relaxed about making sure there was enough propane in the tank, which ran out midway through dinner one night. C'mon guys, get a spare tank! Also, the electric range is a bit finicky, with burners sometimes shutting down for no apparent reason. And if you want to make pancakes for breakfast, be sure and bring your own pan or griddle.
That being said, I'd stay there again (if the owners will let me after this review). It's all about location, and this property has it."
