  • Fantastic getaway

"We just finished our second year in a row renting this cottage, and we have absolutely loved it both times. It's great for kids, with lots of bunk beds, and two couples, with very romantic bedrooms overlooking the water. It is amazing having the beach right below, but even better is the deck perched high above it. Amazing sunsets. Wish we had never left. The owners are also fantastic to deal with."

  • This place is the best!

"I can't say enough about the hospitality of Margaret and her daughter Beth. My husband and I and one of our adult sons wrapped up a 10 day trek of the Northeast with 3 nights in this lovely cottage in Harpswell. Being from East TN and surrounded by mountains and lakes my entire life, I can honestly say Casco Bay and the surrounding area is the prettiest place on Earth. The cottage met our needs perfectly and the views and ocean breeze coming in our MANY bedroom windows each day and night were just awesome. I highly recommend Bayberry Ledge to anyone who wants to experience the vacation with fresh air, an ocean breeze, peace, and serenity. I was happy to just sit and watch the day go by with my book, walk along the rocky shore, take pictures and enjoy the sunsets each night. By the way - the sun rises early up there! 4:45am and it was daylight! Thank you again ladies. We WILL be back!"

  • A Most Excellent Stay!

"We were guests at this wonderful coastal Maine retreat for a four week period earlier this Spring. We arrived with snow on the ground, and all was prepared for our arrival. We made a fire in the wonderful fireplace, and relaxed in the stillness of the Maine woods...what a wonderful location. Close to Freeport, Brunswick and Portland, the setting was perfect. We shopped at Whole Foods in Portland, cooked our meals in this cozy kitchen, and ate our meals in the breakfast nook watching the trees / wind / snow throughout our stay. We saw deer and wild turkeys as well as a dark starry sky and even a full moon! The beds were comfortable, and the garage provided protection during some stormy days. A perfect way for us to visit family close by and have a wonderful Easter dinner for all. Thank you Wayne for sharing such a wonderful getaway!!"

  • Can't wait to come back!

"Our family of six had a fabulous time at this lovely cottage. The location of the cottage was private and the views were spectacular. The house is sturdy and spacious. We could not have asked for more. The fellas hit golf balls into the bay at low tide and the rest of us had a blast looking for them before the water came in. We made day excursions to Georgetown Pottery and Popham Beach and fort (so special!) -- but mostly we loved to sit on the porch or in the comfortable adirondack chairs on the grass, and talk and laugh. We liked Frank enormously -- he was available to answer questions anytime but never hovered. We recommend this cottage without reservation -- you can't find a nicer place in Maine. I am going to hear the waves lapping in the shore of my dreams all year."
