"This is our 2nd year of renting this fantastic home in this beautiful area of Maine. Our family has been coming to this area for over 50 years and decided 2 years ago to look for a house in the area that would serve our family better. we got lucky and found this home and it was available for the week we wanted. Our 99 year old Mom just loves this home. It is so beautiful, clean, and just feels like a home. You cannot believe how peaceful this location is. Each morning we bring our cup of tea and sit on the deck and watch the lobster boats, kayaks, and sailboats pass by. The pool is just fantastic and so refreshing after a day at the beach. There is plenty to do in this area and the owners ( who are just great) have done a wonderful job providing anyone who rents the house a very detailed booklet of places of interest around the area. The rest of our family rent other homes in the area and we just have the best time setting up down at our favorite beach( there are several to pick from in this area) each day and having quality family time together. we cannot say enough about what a great home this is and how the owners do everything they can to provide every comfort and amenity for their renters. This place is simply the best!!!!! Hopefully next year our children and grandchildren will be able to join us. There is plenty of room and this house has everything you could need and more. we cannot wait till next year!!!!!"

"We had an amazing stay at this house! It had all the amenities we needed and even our 2 year old enjoyed herself the whole time. We hit up the beach every day, and walked to get ice cream almost every night. Besides being close to Crescent Beach, it was also a short drive to Two Lights and Fort Williams Park (and the Bite into Maine food truck- best lobster rolls ever!) Driving into Portland was a breeze too, so whether you want the quiet of the ocean or the food and shopping of the city, this house is in the perfect location!
The only slight issue we had was the strong smell of moth balls when we got there. Open windows and moving the box of moth balls quickly cleared the smell."

"From the time we walked in the door this house felt comfortable. It was so roomy and airy - with lots of windows. There was usually a nice breeze, but when there wasn't there were plenty of fans to move air around and we never felt hot. The beds very very comfortable, as was the sofa in the TV room. Having internet and cable was a great plus. The kitchen was large enough for all 3 of us to be working in it. Dover St. is a real gem since there are several locals on this street. The street was shorter than we expected, making the walk to the beach quick. Parking was easy with plentiful room for our two cars. The nice side yard was great for sitting outside to eat lunch or for just relaxing. There is a little store/deli steps down the street for necessities and delicious scones and breakfast sandwiches, and there is a lobsterman living across the street who sold us delicious lobsters that he cooked for us to pick up when we wanted them! How perfect! I think the only drawback was the small bathroom, but we made do. Vicky, the owner, was so very pleasant and helpful which we appreciated. We actually hated to leave at the end of the week. I would have loved to come back here next year for 3 weeks (one is just not enough for me), but cannot leave my shih tzu for that long so I will have to find a place that will allow a small dog.:("

"We had a blast!! Very lovely place with everything we needed. I must first commend the O'Brian family for not only sharing their little piece of Maine with us but also for being the best owners we have ever dealt with. They were there for us every step of the way and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank You!!!! We spent a lot of time on the deck and down by the water. We were blessed by many different types of wildlife but I think our favorite were the horseshoe crabs that seemed to visit the shore each evening. However, the most beautiful part of staying at this rental was the most amazing sunsets we have ever seen.
Ok, well that and the lobster that we had almost every night. Eating them on the deck in the sea breeze just seemed to make them taste that much better. My fiance surprised me on our last night with a huge 3+ pound monster (Bob) that I gladly devoured."
