"My husband & I spent two weeks in Maine and rented the Osprey's Nest for the last week. We are both avid birders and kayakers so we spent the entire time on the deck or in the water. From the deck we saw seals, tons of osprey and bald eagles fishing. It was quite and comfortable - a great place to spend the day watching the tides come in and out or reading a book. There is so much coastline to explore in the area and small towns close enough to do lots of day outings. We ate almost all our meals there because we didn't want to leave the deck. The place was very clean and has everything you might need. We can't wait to go back."Guest: Tricia D. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 10, 2014View listing
"My wife and I stayed here for three months while our home was being renovated. From the bright and sunny kitchen to the entertainment room (with exercise equipment!) and the full basement with lots of storage this home was perfect for our extended Island visit. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the home and surroundings. The property is beautiful and has a right of way to the beach. Ferry service is a quick walk away. There are many great walks out the back door. We would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to enjoy an Island environment for either a long or short term stay."Guest: Kim G. "My family and I just spent the most amazing vacation on Peaks and this cottage was terrific! The owners Jean and John were so helpful and friendly, answering all our questions before and during our stay at their charming, comfortable cottage. It is perfectly and conveniently located about a ten minute walk from the grocery store, post office, ferry, stores and restaurants on Peaks. It's only about a two minute walk to the beach too. The cottage was very clean and completely equipped with everything our family needed during our stay, including a barbecue that we used many times. The rooms are all nicely decorated with many family photos and mementos. There's also a large screened in porch on the back of the house where we enjoyed many meals. It's also the perfect spot in the house to watch the lovely sunsets each night over Casco Bay. The lilac bush at the front of the cottage was in full bloom so we cut fresh flowers and put them all over the house so we could enjoy that lovely scent all week. There are also games, puzzles and playing cards there which we used all week. This cottage certainly was full of "sunshine and laughter" the entire week we were there and we won't stay anywhere else when we return to Peaks! Thanks Jean and John!!"Guest: Teri Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 11, 2014View listing
"Our stay at Schooner Landing was amazing. The house was more than advertised. The location spectacular and so very peaceful. We took in most of what Harpswell had to offer - excellent seafood at Cook's, Erica's, The Dolphin; trip to Ash Cove Pottery, the Cribstone Bridge, Land's End and more plus some adventures in Freeport and Portland. We loved it all. Thanks for offering your home to us."Guest: Lucille L. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 13, 2014View listing
