  • Clean, Comfortable, Well Appointed

"We had a great time at Lake Arrowhead. The house is very clean with comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need for a lake vacation. The hammock, dock, canoes, kayaks, fire pit, screened porch, grill were all great features, and all we're in excellent condition. I've never seen a grill as immaculate at a rental property! The kids loved the loft sleeping area - it worked great for our family. The area is very quiet and private. The large living, eating, kitchen area was great for keeping the whole family together and trips to Portland were really quick and easy. The clubhouse with indoor/outdoor pool were an added feature that was welcomed too. Lake swimming was great but trips to the pool were an added bonus. Playground was great to have for the kids. We hardly left the house the whole week."

  • Cozy get away

"The location of this rental was easy to find with the picture directions the owner sent. The landmarks really helped. It was quiet and very privet yet a short drive to Sanford shopping and fast food places. Even a Dunkin Donuts 5 minutes away! The cabin looked just as it was in the photos. We felt right at home the minute we walked in the door. If we had a cabin, this is just the way we would want it to look. The only thing I would add is a fireplace. But I understand that could be a hazard for a rental property. Fantastic panoramic views of the water. The cabin was very clean with lots of homey touches. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even cable TV & Wi-Fi. One tiny glitch was that I got the wrong wife code. But I left a message with the owner and he got back to me with the correct code the next day. We looked forward to getting back to the cabin in the evening and just relaxing. So cozy. I think we would have used the decks more often in the evening, but being October, it was a bit cool later on. Never had to use the heat thou. It was very comfortable inside. My husband and I went out on the canoe (my first time)! Luckily the water was very calm! LOL We had a great breakfast at this little place right in the small Sanford airfield, “The Cockpit”. Also at a little dinner north of Sanford, “The three Alarm dinner”. Did a lot of just driving around exploring. In general, the roads in Maine are great. There was a road map at the cabin that we borrowed and it was very helpful when we got lost a couple of times. We went to Kittery for a bit of shopping at the outlets. Love the Kittery Trading Post. We would love to go back and maybe bring some of our family next time. They would love it. We would highly recommend this rental. Thanks for a relaxing get-away!"

  • Sweetest Little House in Maine

"This charming little house is the perfect place for a relaxing stay in Maine. Close to Kennebunkport/Kennebunk and all they have to offer, but away from the crush of the tourists when you need a break. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and a gas grill outdoors, should you feel like cooking, but is walking distance to Nunan's Lobster Hut (wicked lobster rolls and delicious blueberry pie!) and Cape Porpoise Kitchen, for when you don't. The rest of the house is cozy and built for lounging and the beds are more comfortable than one would expect for a rental property - sleep with the windows open and snuggle under the covers for the best nights sleep! For a real treat, walk to the Cape Porpoise Kitchen for coffee and breakfast then take a walk to the Cape Porpoise pier. Sit on one of the benches and take in the view of the lobster boats and the Goat Island lighthouse. Don't miss the Chowder House, with their delicious fish chowder and fried seafood. We will definitely be back to this little house, and next time, we're staying longer!"

"We had such a great time - the cottage is cozy, but has everything that you could need for a getaway! We fell in love with the charm of the cottage and the lake, and hope to visit again! Thank you Kim for everything! Jen & Doug (and pups Dewey & Daisy)"
