  • A Historic Property w/ Up-to-Date Amenities!

"A wonderful find! I booked a week to spend some vacation time in Maine with my Mom, and we had a fabulous stay. Our family has summer'd in the York area for more than 50 years, and we know the Long Sands and Short Sands areas well, but had never spent time in the York Harbor area before. One of the owners met us when we arrived. What a warm welcome! -- she gave us a tour and provided lots of helpful information about the area. This was definitely a quiet and peaceful place to stay, well away from the Short Sands craziness but close enough to visit when we wanted to.... The apartment was lovely -- immaculate, and fully equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout. The sun room was delightful, and we spent many evening hours reading, relaxing and enjoying the sunsets. The nearby Chapman Cottage (recently renovated by the York Harbor Inn and recommended by the owner) proved to be a great destination for Happy Hour drinks and small plates. Yum! And, of course no trip to York would be complete without the Goldenrod "salt water taffy show" -- which never fails to entertain old and young alike..."

  • GREAT HOME!!!

"This house was great! We went up there for Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport and house was 10 minutes away, close to restaurants in Kennebunk which we loved since we could walk to our favorite restaurant there the Kennebunk Inn. Loved the cozy fire place and enjoyed playing board games. House was super clean, and had everything we needed for the week, we would definitely stay there again since we love to visit my wife's family."

  • Perfect place to stay!

"The Treehouse provided everything and more for our recent holiday! We were celebrating a special birthday for a member of our travel party and wanted enough room for all of us in a charming place close to town, and the Treehouse was absolutely perfect. The property was immaculate, with everything we needed to enjoy great times at home watching the World Cup (Our German friend was especially happy with the outcome), practicing yoga on the lower deck with our newly trained yogi celebrating his 50th, working jigsaw puzzles purchased at the local toy store, and playing with our Doberman puppy. We walked into town and to the beach every day. David (the owner) was responsive to our questions throughout our stay. It is clear he is very committed to his guests having an amazing experience. This was my first trip to Maine and I can't believe what I have been missing. This gem is perfect for relaxing and enjoying life with great restaurants and shopping. I especially enjoyed our early morning beach times with our puppy - the beach changes in the tides and the atmosphere on both cloudy and sunny days was remarkable."

  • Great cottage!

"This cottage was perfect for our trip to Wells. We have 2 small children and there was plenty of room. It was perfectly clean and had everything we needed-well equipped kitchen, laundry, beach chairs, cooler, and toys, as well as grounds that include 3 pools (1 adult only) and 2 playgrounds. It is located in a good spot on the property-not a far walk from the front or any of the pools, though there is a trolley to take you if you don't want to walk. The owners were great to work with-very responsive and pleasant. The cottage itself is very nice-well decorated and modern-the pictures are very accurate. Though the cottages are pretty close to each other, they are well situated so no one's doors face each other and you have a fair amount of privacy. We have been to the area many times before, but have never been to Summer Village. We would definitely stay here again!"
