"My family and I were coming back to Maine for the first time in 7 years and looking for a quiet place where we could relax. We found this beautiful house on a private cove to be perfect in every way. The privacy and secluded back yard and lake access allowed us to really enjoy our stay. My teenagers even enjoyed it! Perfect for any family. We enjoyed the cosy and modern interior of the house as well as the many amenities such as screened porch, fire pit, kayaks and canoe, and wi-fi too.
The kitchen layout was perfect for making meals while still enjoying good conversation and family time too. The large and spacious living area downstairs was perfect too. We barbecued on the back deck and enjoyed simply unwinding around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and making s'mores too!
My wife and I knew from our first night's stay here that we'd be coming back again for our next visit to Maine. The lake house was convenient to Hannaford's supermarket and Dunkin Donuts but secluded enough to make you feel like you were the only one's out on the private cove and lake area. I highly recommend this lake house to anyone traveling to southern Maine and looking for a quiet and relaxing stay while there."

"This is our second year coming to the lovely house at Lake Arrowhead. What a place to unwind and let the stress melt away. Everything you could need is here for a great vacation; beautiful home, lovely grounds and gardens, water right outside your door, a dock , an assortment of watercraft, and the fishing is super! Our hosts make it feel like you are coming home to your family's summer place. All the comforts of home, but in a beautiful lakeside setting. We watched the eagles from the deck as well as from our boat, enjoyed the lovely sunsets, went shopping at the outlets when it rained one day, and just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The little touches that the owners provide make this place a real treat to stay at. Can't wait until next year!"

"Loved this quiet little cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It was just what the doctor ordered, so close to the lake
(and the fish) that it's not even a question. We fished as soon as we woke up, did our thing during the day and came back to fish the night away. Kim and Dan have everything you need right there. Bring your clothes, toiletries, a radio, and a good book! We had our 3 year old well behaved daughter with us and she had fun. They have a few water toys to play with and it was easy for her to access the water. The steps on the way down to the cabin and my desire for high water pressure when I shower were the only reasons I took one star away from the property rating. Dogs welcome and plenty of things for them to sniff, ours had a BLAST! Neighbors are awesome and let us use their property."

"The house is well taken care of. The owners really paid attention to the details right up to a basket of toiletries to use if you forgot something to little signs helping you to use various items in the house. The beach is awesome, great for swimming and floating - and they had floats available. Two of us used the kayaks they had there which was so relaxing. We saw a bald eagle, a heron and a red tailed hawk. A beautiful house in a beautiful area. Hope to go again."
