  • Quiet family vacation

"This property met our needs perfectly. As advertised, the house is a bit older, but very cozy and comfortable - like visiting your grandparents. Everything is clean and functional, and there was plenty of room for our family of 4. The neighborhood is quiet, but close to all the York-area highlights, and was a great place to "come home to" after a busy day at the beach or exploring further along the coast. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a typical beach vacation, while having everything close by. Be sure to visit the Cliff Walk, especially just before sunset."

  • Dream Vacation

"My wife, dog and I enjoyed a mid-May celebration of my 40th birthday and our 12th wedding anniversary at the cabin. Visiting for an entire week during the off season was very advantageous as it seemed that we had the whole cove to ourselves, quite a private location despite the surrounding neighborhood. Beautiful weather on a wonderful lake made for ample swimming time for our dog Maggie, she swam to her hearts content every day and slept hard due to it. My wife and I were successful in our first kayaking and canoeing adventure, we would highly recommend taking advantage of the calm lake to future guests. Many hours were spent on the back deck soaking up some early spring sunshine, playing cards, grilling, reading and taking in the outdoors. Cool nights were made cozy by both the fire pit outside and the gas stove in the living room. North Waterboro is also an excellent geographic location due to its close proximity to area attractions, we enjoyed day trips to Berwick (Run of the Mill Pub is a must) and Portland (seafood and catching up with relatives). A quick trip to Sanford Wal-Mart for the obligatory three day fishing license made for some great memories on the lake. The free Wi-Fi helped in planning our daily adventures. Marty and Kim’s attention to detail is exceptional, in reading the guest book at the cabin I noted that the last guest had suggested that a shade for the skylight in the loft would be nice. Upon inspection of the loft, a sliding shade was installed and very much appreciated by us! The cabin is very well appointed, and the on-site washer/dryer was much appreciated. This cabin is by far the cleanest and well maintained that we have rented from VRBO. We will most certainly return and we thank you for your hospitality."

  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"Though we have visited Kennebunkport before, this was our first time at Goose Rocks. We must say that this home was an exceptional find. It was like having a home away from home only this one has a waterfront view that is spectacular. It is very well maintained and the owner was only a phone call away to answer any questions we had. This home is close enough to Dock Square that we ventured there several times during our week long visit. Though we did eat quite a few of our meals in, we enjoyed several of the local restaurants as well. We will absolutely rent this property again! Loved, loved, loved this home!"

Saco Travel Tips

Saco Vacation Rentals are a Charming Getaway

The city of Saco, in York County Maine, is blessed with miles of white sandy beach and spectacular views of Saco Bay, including numerous sailboats and charming lighthouses. The beach is relatively uncrowded all season and is unspoiled by high rises. There is plenty of room for relaxing and, once in a while, a harbor seal may appear. You can take a walk along the seven miles of sandy beach, from Camp Ellis to Old Orchard Beach and ending at Pine Point in Scarborough. You can collect seashells, or even try your hand at building a sandcastle or two. Saco is a quaint vacation spot filled with friendly people. And because there are ample Saco vacation rentals, it is a perfect place to spend a holiday.

Saco Has Plenty of Attractions to Keep You Entertained

Your Saco lodging is just minutes away from local fishing docks, Saco River fishing, canoeing, and three great golf courses. You are also close to amenities such as Ferry Beach State Park and the Funtown Splashtown USA amusement park. If you are interested in some major shopping, then the Maine Mall is also only a few miles away, plus there is the new 16-screen cinema in Portland's acclaimed "Old Port area," which also includes many fine restaurants, shops, and some great weather.

Saco is a Wonderful Family-Oriented Vacation Destination

Because of Saco's friendliness and beauty, many families return year after year for vacations and have for generations. You can start this tradition with your family as many have done in the past. Look into Saco vacation rentals or even find a few Maine Southern Coast cottages to fulfill your ideal vacation plans. Spend time with your family in a quiet and rewarding vacation experience, surrounded by the natural beauty of the sand dunes, white beaches, and charm of Saco Bay.
