Peaceful and convenient to USNA
"Very nice house and great location! We were there for our son's commissioning from the USNA. We wanted something close enough but yet away from the hustle and bustle of Annapolis and near water. Casa Arundel worked out perfectly. It's about 10-15 minutes from the Academy and easy to get to going by way of Forest to Bay Ridge Blvd and in Gate 1. After busy days this is a great place to relax. It's in a nice peaceful neighborhood. The house is well equipped for a family or to entertain a small group. It has a very open, contemporary feel which I loved. Lots of windows! The great room and kitchen were very nice and worked great for hanging out with everyone! We had everything we needed for cooking. With the master bedroom upstairs, my husband and I had our privacy and the kids could hang out downstairs later into the night. At the peak of our trip we had 7 adults + 1 dog here. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but adequate. One bedroom does not have a closet and you walk through that bedroom to the back yard and deck. Not a problem for us since it was all family and parts of our party were only there part of the week. There is a closet between the kitchen and great room that can be used to hang clothes. Steve also provided a hanging clothes rack for us in the master bedroom which helped. The beds were comfortable. I have back and neck issues so am very picky about my bed and I can definitely say the master bed was comfortable for me for the entire week. We also used the sectional couch for 2 to sleep on, so it all worked. We brought our German Shepherd dog and she loved going for walks around the neighborhood and playing in the water which is just down the street. Steve was very easy and nice to work with. He seems to always be making improvements.
Annapolis is a wonderful place to visit. We have been coming here for 8 years with 2 sons having attended USNA. Restaurants galore. The Federal House and Boatyard Bar and Grill are two of our favorites. My husband and I ate at Cafe Normandie on this trip to celebrate our anniversary. Very nice and romantic! There are so many more and just enjoying walking around town and the Academy and all around the water never looses it's magic. Staying at Casa Arundel gives you the feel of Annapolis with water surrounding you everywhere."

"I was very impressed with this property - absolutely beautiful!!!! So clean, so neat, and most of all extremly peaceful. The views are priceless, and the owners have considered everything you can imagine to make you feel at home (down to the ingredients and condiments in the cabinets). I will be back!!!!"

"We rented this house for Commissioning week. It was very nice and clean. The location was in a quiet area, but within walking distance from the base and downtown. We walked during most of our weeks stay, because it was more convenient then finding parking during this very busy week. The deck was nice for cook outs and relaxing in the evenings. There was restaurants within a few blocks for convenient meals. We ate most breakfasts just doors away at a little Café. We had a great time here and would recommend it highly."

"My husband and I had a wonderful time staying on the Sojourner. The staff at the Chesapeake Boating Club could not have been any nicer. We arrived Friday afternoon and did not get back into the car until we had to leave on Sunday. This is a unique way to stay near Annapolis. We walked over the bridge into Annapolis and took the sunset sail on the Schooner Woodwind and then took the water taxi back. What made the trip special were the people, not only at the dock but also of Eastport. You are not staying on a luxury Yacht and it is cozy accommodations but it is a fun experience and we plan on returning."
