"We have stayed at this cozy cottage 2 times in the last year. First time was a visit for our MIDS birthday and just last week for commencement. Although small in space , it is big on comfort and class. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare a first class meal. Our host was easy to deal with and welcoming. We love the location. We are walkers and it was easy to walk everywhere and leave the car behind thus eliminating parking in downtown Annapolis. We love this place!"Guest: Vicki Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 28, 2014View listing
"We enjoyed our stay at this home, which was very convenient to a wedding we were attending while in Annapolis. The owner was nice and very helpful, and the home was clean and inviting when we arrived, with fresh sheets and towels. The layout of the home is a bit odd, and I would have appreciated additional photos before arriving. To access the back bedroom area (which is an enclosed porch area) you have to go through another bedroom. And the only, very small, bathroom, is in between the two bedrooms. The sun porch and the screen porch would have been wonderful additional space for hanging out, if we had been here in warmer weather. As it was we only spent time in the main front living room area because it was a colder October weekend. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and though we didn't have time to utilize the community beach area, it was very close by. The kitchen was small, but well stocked, and open to the living room. I'd recommend this place for families with kids or very close friends who don't mind having to share space (i.e. going through each others bedrooms to access other rooms) and only one bathroom. And I would certainly suggest it for warmer months as the outdoor spaces looked very inviting even though we didn't use them."Guest: Emily B. "This is the second time we have stayed in The Chestnut House. It couldn't be more perfect. The serenity there is incredible, being able to sit and watch the water, deer and now the sheep. Our collie loved it too, being able to be outside with all the new smells. The owners are a delight. We hope to be able to stay again the next time we are in the Annapolis region."Guest: Deborah W. "We stayed for a week in May and couldn't have been happier. The house is beautiful: well-cared for and has everything you could want. The location is perfect. It's on a quiet street within walking distance of historic downtown Annapolis. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Annapolis, no small part due to the house!"Guest: Robin J.
