Relaxing weekend at this beautiful home in Cambridge
"My wife and I and our 4 kids spent a long weekend at this beautiful home. I have to say it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. The house is super clean, nicely laid-out and well appointed. The lot does have shade trees and offered a perfect mix of sun and shade. Plenty to do here as well! We went canoeing in the canoes provided, went fishing off of the dock, swam in the pool, played Ping-Pong, tether ball, cornhole, and so much more. My 11 year old son said that he would much rather come back here and stay than to go to Disney World! That is saying something! I've stayed at many places in Cambridge, but many of the water front homes are far from town. This home was very private and secluded, but it was also very close to town. We did go into town for fresh fish from Kool Ice and ate at Jimmie and Sooks. Both of those trips to town were very quick and easy. We will definitely come back. Teri was a great host! She kept in touch and readily answered any questions that we had. What I thought was best of all was that she seemed to be as excited about us being there as we were."

"Our party of 4 adults and 3 children spent a week in the house in Cambridge in April. The house is very well equipped and appointed; we were impressed with the standard of decor and cleanliness. The weather was still chilly when we were there so we did not spend as much time on the porch in the rocking chairs as we would have liked. The back yard was small and the owners are in the process of landscaping / renovating - so that wasnt an area we used. The house is walking distance from the water and from historic downtown Cambridge which includes several nice restaurants and bars. Grocery shopping at the Walmart or Lion store was a short car ride away. During our stay we visited the Harriet Tubman museum in town which was small but very comprehensive and staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We also visited Annapolis (Naval Academy very impressive), Easton (nice small art museum), Oxford, Easton, Assiteague Island (highly recommend for horses, dunes and beaches). We fished from the long wharf pier and played in the local parks."

"Man what a nice view of the water and I really enjoy sitting on the dock bench reading my book, The house had everything we needed to cook meals just a beautiful place, the neighbors were really nice and a dog Katy came to visit us twice sm little beagle it was just wonderful relaxing stress free vacation…I was a little disappointed in the screen in porch the roof is also screen so you couldn't sit out there and listen to the rain but the rest of the place made up for that…Thanks Michelle we loved it..."

Bob and Cathy are a class act!! One of the best stays I've had.
"I pulled into the driveway of the Carriage house and was greeted by Cathy. She welcomed me and showed me where I would be staying. This has to be the cleanest place I've ever stayed in way better then any 5 star hotel.. Bob and Cathy's home was clean, comfortable and cozy. It was quiet and peaceful.. which is exactly what I needed as I was there for my Eagleman Half Ironman race. Besides the beautiful accommodations..Bob and Cathy were like an Unlce and an Aunt to me while I was there. When I would leave to go out and come back I would say to Cathy... "I'm home"! We got to talk, they fed me and left me warm wishes with notes and a balloon wishing me luck on my race. I can not express how good this made me feel. It was honestly like staying with family. There is NOT ONE BAD THING I can say about my stay....I HIGHLY recommend the Carriage House for your stay."
