  • Wonderful rental on Bayside @ 12th.

"My family of 5 was excited about this condo. When we pulled up and started up the steps we got a little worried as the hallway is "worn." Fortunately, we found the complete opposite as soon as we walked into the condo. It has been beautifully updated. The decor is beach but not beach tacky. There was plenty of room in the condo for us. The fold out couch was plenty big for my two boys and they said it was very comfortable. Both of the beds in the bedrooms were comfortable (no sag). We had everything we needed and then some. We cook very little while vacationing but there was plenty of stuff there if that's your thing. The BALCONY - This was probably the best part. It was so nice to sit on the balcony in the morning. In the evening the sun warms it up quite a bit so you might have to wait until the sun is setting but it's such a peaceful place to be and at the same time you can watch the goings on over at Harbor Island. There are 4 tall chairs up on the deck that my entire family kept joking about taking home with us because they were so comfortable to sit in. We mapped out our trip up to the beach - less than a quarter of a mile which was a fairly easy trip for our family and helped burn off the calories we were taking in on the boardwalk. Drawbacks? - This building was built in the 70s. This means that the ceilings in the bathroom and hallways and kitchen are low. This may not be an issue for many people but as we are a tall family (6'+) it was a little more challenging and showering required some squatting to keep out heads under rather than over the showerhead. Deal breaker? No. Everything else this place has to offer far outweighs that it wasn't built for the above average crowd. Lastly - My brother stayed with his family in another condo in the complex. Be careful when you are comparing units. His was not renovated at all and yet he paid more for his (possibly because he had access to a boat slip and we did not). Take a chance on this unit - you won't be disappointed."

"This was a really nice place other than a few small deatils. The owners are nice, but I did have some complaints. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and when we first arrived there was sand all over the floor, I got over that and we had a very nice stay. On our last day there, we discovered there were dishes in the dishwasher that we did not know about, and had no idea how long they had been in there, not such a big thing, I let that go too. My problem came the night we had gotten home, the owner contacted my boyfriend and said we had dented the refrigerator and freezer door and wanted close to $500 to replace it, but since they lacked proof we did it, ( which we most certainly did not), they dropped it. So just as a warning to others, the refrigerator and freezer door have two small dents in them. But other than that, I loved the place, and would have wanted to stay again."

  • Enjoyable stay

"The cottage is adorable! Perfectly clean, well stocked, very comfortable, good outdoor space. When I realized that the cottage is on the main/only road through Tilghman Island, I worried about road noise. There was none! We arrived slightly ahead of a nor'easter, so our first day was spent reading and watching TV on the long sofa in the living room. Fortunately the weather cleared for a great afternoon at the Maritime Museum, and a delightful sunset sail on the Rebecca Ruark. Captain Wade Murphy is quite the entertainer! Since we visited in late October, the island was very quiet. We spent most of our time in St Michaels, so we traveled the 15 miles each way several times daily. Also, the weather kept us from doing more outdoor activities. I think the cottage and the island would be a perfect location in warmer weather. The cottage includes an outdoor grill and bicycles."

  • Fantabulous Property

"This property is everything it promises; beautifully decorated, amazing sunset views, superb location & very clean! My 7 girl friends and I were looking to get a way for a long kid/ husband free weekend of relaxation and fun and we found it here! Absolutely perfect weather and a prime location for hot bars such as Macky's, Fagers Island & Secrets. Highly recommended for a great time no matter the crowd; girls weekend, family, couples...you name it and this place will be sure to please :)."
