"We stayed here with our kids and loved watching the Chesapeake Bay from the porch and hot tub. There is something really special about viewing the Bay Bridge in the middle of the night with its lights flashing. The kids loved watching the big cargo ships move up and down the bay. We had fun using our paddle boards off the dock and playing in the water. We did not get a chance to do this, but Kent Island has a great bike trail and nature trail that is only a couple miles away from this spot. The owners were great to work with - responsive and accommodating."

"Baydreams backs onto a Chesapeake Bay inlet. The view from the back windows is beautiful and tranquil. We were particularly impressed with a close view of ospreys nesting behind a nearby house. There was also a family of ducks that ventured out of the water to the rear of the house each day. The house is located just a mile from the highway exit on a friendly closed outlet block. The only thing that marred our tranquility was the roar of a generator from the back of a neighboring house. It ran for several hours the first day we arrived and for a few hours on one other day during the week we stayed.
The house itself is very spacious with two separate wings separated by a sitting room overlooking the backyard and bay. So there was lots of privacy for the other couple that stayed with us. This extension is not really a "guest house" because it is attached to the house, although it does have a separate entrance. The sitting room has some classic arcade games which you are free to play and which were a lot of fun.
The kitchen and furnishings are dated (particularly outdoor furniture) but in good condition. There are two kitchens at either end of the house. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers worked well. There is a hot tub next to the master bedroom on the second floor which looks very inviting, but there was insufficient hot water to fill it properly. The upstairs bedroom has a nice walk- in closet and a small terrace with a nice view of the water.
There are three big screen televisions, easy to use, plus a DVD player with some movies. Wireless internet was easy to access and very reliable throughout the house. There were several boats and bikes available plus a nice gas barbecue. The "tiki bar" in the back has a charcoal grill, but it looked worn and univiting. Although we didn't use the outdoor hot tub because the weather was hot during our stay, it looked clean and well maintained.
We took day trips to some wildlife refuges, the Naval Academy, and Fort McHenry, all an hour or less away. There's a shopping area about four miles away with a big supermarket to get supplies. At the owner's suggestion, we ate at the Narrows Restaurant, 10 minutes from the house, and the food, service and view were outstanding.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend the house for it's beautiful view and excellent location. The house itself is very comfortable and conducive to having fun. The owners were professional and courteous."

"We once again enjoyed our stay on Kent Island using this lovely family home. We had both of our daughters and their families with us filling the entire 5 bedroom home. Although the weather was very hot while we were there, we found shade at the picnic table and hammock along with a gentle breeze in the late afternoon. It was very conveniently located for trips in Annapolis, even though we spent most of the time on Kent Island. We would recommend this home for families because of the roomy nature of the house and the wonderful yard overlooking the ship traffic on the Chesapeake Bay. The owner was responsive to a specific needs in a timely manner. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking with a large family. We hope to return again to this property."

"With my family in KI Beachhouse I and my sister's family in the KI Beachhouse II next door we had our own compound! In town for my stepdaughter's wedding, we easily located nearby groceries, restaurants, and entertainment. Everything from reservations to check-in and all the way thru check-out was so simple."
