  • Fabulous Townhouse in Sunset Island

"This was our fourth stay in Sunset Island, 4Adults and 4Kids ages 12, 11, 10,8..This townhouse was by far our favorite! Best location with Bay view from deck, and really nice location to the pool. The decor was beautiful, very islandy..You could tell the owners put a lot of thought into decor and upgrades..The layout was perfect for our families..Bedrooms were perfect for our 2 boys and 2 girls. The owners were super nice and made reserving their home so simple..I did everything on line. We hope to be able to stay here again next year ..Sunset Island has become a little family tradition and a great way to start our summer vacation..Definitely recommend this townhome!"

  • Amazing Condo

"This was the first time I have ever rented a condo and Sophia was extremely helpful with everything along the way. The photos of the place don't really do it justice because it is even better than what is shown. Extremely spacious, great location. I must say my first experience with a rental leads me to definitely want to do it again. I will be looking to stay here again in the future. On a side note, there was an amazing view of a rocket taking off into space from the rooftop one night! So Cool"

  • Beautiful property with all pros, no cons

"This fantastic condo was our home-away-from-home for a week in spring 2013. We loved basically everything about this place. The living room was spacious and graciously appointed. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the appliances and kitchen tools one could ever need. The location was ideal - it is within a 3-4 minute drive to a grocery store (104th St), the beach, restaurants, mini golf, and a fantastic city park with playground equipment and tennis courts. The unit is not too far from the boardwalk excitement either. The pool was closed when we were there (too early in the season) but looked like it would be pretty nice. There's a storage closet filled with toys, inflatable rafts, beach chairs, etc. And, as others have noted in their reviews, entry to the unit is via a keypad with a code that each tenant sets themselves, so you won't forget it easily and you'll never lose your keys. I've already been recommending this place to friends and colleagues - I truly hope they try it. The landlords are very responsive via phone or email, and they seem like delightful people. As far as we could tell, the only downside was that the condo is on the corner of the Ocean Highway so car noise is an issue on the balcony. With the doors and windows closed it is not a problem. I recognize that this is true for most condos in Ocean City so this place is no better or worse than any other similarly located unit in this regard. Overall, a wonderful week at the beach - thank you very much!"

  • love this condo

"This condo and location is great! It offers convience, affordability and comfort. The condo is spacious, fully equipped, and clean. The location is great. If you have a family with children or teens you are Close to anything you need or want to do but not in the middle of all the craziness of the boardwalk. The owner Ron is wonderful. He communicates well through the whole process. He,checks to make sure you are comfortable and settled in ok and refunds deposits quickly after you leave and alls ok with the condo I cant say enough of how grateful we are that we brought our family to this property. We had a great time making memories for a life time! The last below wont let me check families with young children..but it is great for young families too!"

Ocean City Travel Tips

The small Maryland town of Ocean City, with a population of only 7,000, is really not so small: Summer weekends here can see more than 300,000 visitors! But this beautiful beach city is an excellent coastal escape for year-round travel. Here are some of Ocean City’s highlights:

One of the biggest draws in Ocean City is its boardwalk near the inlet. Trimper’s Rides and Amusements is a must do. It was founded in 1893 and still has many charming old features like antique ticket booths. The carousel is one of the oldest in the country - built in 1912 - and it was originally steam-operated. There are also many other indoor and outdoor games and activities to enjoy.

The Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Splash Mountain are loads of fun for the whole family. It’s located north of the boardwalk, along Philadelphia Avenue at 32nd Street.

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center is the premier location for concerts, national championships, sporting and other events. One particularly awesome event is the Greek Festival, held every year in mid-July. It features Greek music and bands, cool vendors and plenty of filling Mediterranean cuisine.

Near the Water

Ocean City wouldn’t be itself without the beaches. The boardwalk stretches for three miles and Ocean City Beach encompasses 10 pristine miles. But you can do more than take leisurely strolls and lay on the beach - Ocean City also has amazing active opportunities.

Take a kayak, sailing or windsurfing lesson from 48th Street Water Sports or rent jet skis from Odyssea Water Sports. Both of these shops are on the Isle of Wight Bay, farther north from the regular tourist stuff but still worth it.

If you’re extra-adventurous, go parasailing on the bayside at O.C. Parasail, south of Ocean Gateway near St. Louis Street. Small children - and let’s be honest, their parents too - will enjoy a ride on the Duckaneer Pirate Ship tours located nearby. There are plenty of pirate-oriented activities aboard the ship to keep the little scallywags happy and pique their imaginations. On the Atlantic side, you can take a private fishing charter or sightseeing boat out to take in the breeze and the sights and sounds of the ocean.

SunFest is an annual four-day event in mid-September that is meant to bring the summer season to a close in style and welcome the fall season. Head to the Ocean City Inlet at the end of Atlantic Avenue on the boardwalk for plenty of family-friendly fun, including music, food and crafts. Grab tickets to the big-name headline shows before they sell out!

On the flip side, celebrate the winter season with Ocean City’s annual Winter Fest of Lights, held every year from mid-November to January 1. Hop on the Winter Fest Express to pass by fabulous light displays made from hundreds of lights, representing things like Santa’s Workshop, and keep your eyes open for the 50-foot tall Christmas tree. This festival is so popular that it even has its own pavilion - the Winter Fest Pavilion, where you can stop by to enjoy hot chocolate, buy homemade gifts and take photos with Santa.
