  • Great house

"My family enjoyed the huge deck and large rooms. We had 8 adults and 3 kids aged 3-16 and there was plenty of space. I was happy to see that the wooden deck in the picture had been replaced with a composite. Overall every one enjoyed the stay. The electronic sound equipment was difficult to operate and the lighting in the sun room took some getting used to but I would recommend this house to anyone."

  • The owners are wonderful!!

"We had a wonderful time, the place is so quaint. Owners were helpful and congenial. Was a little farther than we wanted, but it was very worth the stay! So clean and so cute! Neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Great for bayside!!"

  • Family Vacation

"Thank you so much for making our OC vacation memorable. Everyone loved the condo. The sunsets were amazing! My husband and I are Parrotheads, and when we saw the Margaritaville sign in the hallway, we knew we rented the right place. Already looking forward to next year. "

  • Perfect Getaway!

"The property and ease with rental transaction exceeded expectations. The condo is lovely, fully equipped, conveniently located, and there were no disappointments. Sunrise on ocean-front balcony is stunning, and sunset from bay-side balcony is beautiful too."

Ocean City Travel Tips

The small Maryland town of Ocean City, with a population of only 7,000, is really not so small: Summer weekends here can see more than 300,000 visitors! But this beautiful beach city is an excellent coastal escape for year-round travel. Here are some of Ocean City’s highlights:

Attractions

One of the biggest draws in Ocean City is its boardwalk near the inlet. Trimper’s Rides and Amusements is a must do. It was founded in 1893 and still has many charming old features like antique ticket booths. The carousel is one of the oldest in the country - built in 1912 - and it was originally steam-operated. There are also many other indoor and outdoor games and activities to enjoy.

The Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Splash Mountain are loads of fun for the whole family. It’s located north of the boardwalk, along Philadelphia Avenue at 32nd Street.

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center is the premier location for concerts, national championships, sporting and other events. One particularly awesome event is the Greek Festival, held every year in mid-July. It features Greek music and bands, cool vendors and plenty of filling Mediterranean cuisine.

Near the Water

Ocean City wouldn’t be itself without the beaches. The boardwalk stretches for three miles and Ocean City Beach encompasses 10 pristine miles. But you can do more than take leisurely strolls and lay on the beach - Ocean City also has amazing active opportunities.

Take a kayak, sailing or windsurfing lesson from 48th Street Water Sports or rent jet skis from Odyssea Water Sports. Both of these shops are on the Isle of Wight Bay, farther north from the regular tourist stuff but still worth it.

If you’re extra-adventurous, go parasailing on the bayside at O.C. Parasail, south of Ocean Gateway near St. Louis Street. Small children - and let’s be honest, their parents too - will enjoy a ride on the Duckaneer Pirate Ship tours located nearby. There are plenty of pirate-oriented activities aboard the ship to keep the little scallywags happy and pique their imaginations. On the Atlantic side, you can take a private fishing charter or sightseeing boat out to take in the breeze and the sights and sounds of the ocean.

Events

SunFest is an annual four-day event in mid-September that is meant to bring the summer season to a close in style and welcome the fall season. Head to the Ocean City Inlet at the end of Atlantic Avenue on the boardwalk for plenty of family-friendly fun, including music, food and crafts. Grab tickets to the big-name headline shows before they sell out!

On the flip side, celebrate the winter season with Ocean City’s annual Winter Fest of Lights, held every year from mid-November to January 1. Hop on the Winter Fest Express to pass by fabulous light displays made from hundreds of lights, representing things like Santa’s Workshop, and keep your eyes open for the 50-foot tall Christmas tree. This festival is so popular that it even has its own pavilion - the Winter Fest Pavilion, where you can stop by to enjoy hot chocolate, buy homemade gifts and take photos with Santa.
