"We stay in this condo every time we come to Ocean City, it is great. The location is perfect and convenient for the beach and boardwalk, about 2 blocks away, and the bay is viewed from the back balcony. The condo is beautiful and very, very comfortable. You feel like you are home. The sunset from the balcony is extraordinary. The owners are wonderful, very enjoyable to work with and are always willing to make sure you enjoy your stay. You can walk to restaurants, stores, miniature golf, all the places you want to visit when you are at the beach. We will be back next year."

"My friends and I were coming to Cambridge to race Ironman Maryland. We had booked Swan's Nest for the original race date of October 3, 2015. When we arrived for our stay, the race was cancelled because of Hurricane Joaquin, that was headed right towards Cambridge. Fortunately, the race was rescheduled (unprecedented, never happened before) to October 17, 2015 and Hap (the owner) was INCREDIBLY flexible with us. Finding housing in Cambridge for this race is incredibly difficult, we had booked a year in advance, and the stress of racing an Ironman is enough without having to deal with housing nightmares and rescheduling, so to have Hap on our side through all of this was invaluable.
And when race time finally came, the home was perfect. Close enough to town to get there quickly, but far enough away to give us a great, quite location to retreat from all the Ironman craziness. The kitchen is set up to be social, and we often found ourselves huddled around it. We were able to sleep everyone comfortably (11-12) and the house was large enough that I barely heard my friend's three teenage boys who stayed with us.
Swan's nest is not fancy, but I think that is what makes it so cozy. I napped out on the dock the day before the race. We spent hours sitting on the huge porches. While there is internet and TV, we never really turned it on because we were so busy with other things but also just relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
I definitely recommend Swan's Nest -- except the weekends when I want to return and then don't go, leave it free for me!"

"Baydreams backs onto a Chesapeake Bay inlet. The view from the back windows is beautiful and tranquil. We were particularly impressed with a close view of ospreys nesting behind a nearby house. There was also a family of ducks that ventured out of the water to the rear of the house each day. The house is located just a mile from the highway exit on a friendly closed outlet block. The only thing that marred our tranquility was the roar of a generator from the back of a neighboring house. It ran for several hours the first day we arrived and for a few hours on one other day during the week we stayed.
The house itself is very spacious with two separate wings separated by a sitting room overlooking the backyard and bay. So there was lots of privacy for the other couple that stayed with us. This extension is not really a "guest house" because it is attached to the house, although it does have a separate entrance. The sitting room has some classic arcade games which you are free to play and which were a lot of fun.
The kitchen and furnishings are dated (particularly outdoor furniture) but in good condition. There are two kitchens at either end of the house. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers worked well. There is a hot tub next to the master bedroom on the second floor which looks very inviting, but there was insufficient hot water to fill it properly. The upstairs bedroom has a nice walk- in closet and a small terrace with a nice view of the water.
There are three big screen televisions, easy to use, plus a DVD player with some movies. Wireless internet was easy to access and very reliable throughout the house. There were several boats and bikes available plus a nice gas barbecue. The "tiki bar" in the back has a charcoal grill, but it looked worn and univiting. Although we didn't use the outdoor hot tub because the weather was hot during our stay, it looked clean and well maintained.
We took day trips to some wildlife refuges, the Naval Academy, and Fort McHenry, all an hour or less away. There's a shopping area about four miles away with a big supermarket to get supplies. At the owner's suggestion, we ate at the Narrows Restaurant, 10 minutes from the house, and the food, service and view were outstanding.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend the house for it's beautiful view and excellent location. The house itself is very comfortable and conducive to having fun. The owners were professional and courteous."

"The house was very clean and included everything we needed for our sizable family. The locals and owners were friendly, fantastic, and went WAY beyond our expectations. We visited Assateague Island, Chincoteague Island, Salisbury Zoo, and the antique malls in Berlin, MD - all within an hour's drive. We loved the private beach! The sunsets are unbelievable. The is the ultimate escape from the rush of modern life. It is good to know that people and places like this still exist in the world! We will be back!"
