  • Great Place!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great week at Grace Cottage. The house is beautiful and the view is fabulous. Our family enjoyed sitting on the covered porch, basking in the sun at the pool, fishing and crabbing off the dock and visiting St. Michaels, Tilghman Island, and Oxford."

  • Great Location and accommodation

"Stayed for a week with my wife and teenage daughters. The condo was great, it fitted our needs exactly with the gilrls having their own room and own beds. The pool is on the small side but not overcrowded so ok. 5 mins walk from the boardwalk & beach so close to the main action without being too noisy or busy. The payment and access for the condo was a very easy and straightforward process. If I was returning to this area I would not hesitate to book this accommodation again. One small suggestion would be to provide an info folder that provides details of the facilities etc of the condo i.e. location of bins, the requirement to use the parking ticket. That said a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesistate to recommend to any friends or family."

  • Great getaway for a family of 18

"Our group of 18 (ages 3 weeks to 72 years) had a wonderful week at the Swan's Nest! The 18 of us slept very comfortably in the 6 bedrooms. The house itself was beautifully kept and comfortable. There was plenty of space for eating in the dining room and in the enclosed porch, and several of us at a time were able to talk and cook in the kitchen. The land surrounding the house was spacious and quiet, so our young kids and dog were able to run and play to their hearts' content. The adults spent a lot of time visiting in the two living rooms and porch, and the kids frequently retreated to the upstairs living room to play games together. As you can tell from the above, the quantity of space for sleeping, eating, playing, and talking attracted us to the property, and we were very satisfied to find that our expectations in this regard were exceeded. During a single week we only had the chance to scratch the surface of the activities that were available onsite. We spent a lot of time fishing and, thanks to the owner Hap's expert counsel, were able to catch dozens of fish during the week. Hap also instructed us in the usage of the crab pots, advice which resulted in the collection of several prime crabs; we visited the local seafood shop to augment our catch and used the house's steamer to prepare a feast on our last day. This was a new and delicious experience for us all! Other popular activities throughout the week included volleyball and ping pong (permanent areas available for both), card games, canoeing, playing in the sand, s'more-roasting by the river, and lying in the hammock. Everything so far was available onsite; we also went on various outings throughout the week. We were impressed by the *excellent* community pool in Cambridge (huge pool, two water slides, and inexpensive snack bar). We had a nice time walking around downtown Cambridge, looking at historic buildings and cemeteries, sampling the brewery, stopping by the Harriet Tubman museum, and so on. Some of us took day trips to Ocean City and Assateague Island and had a great time at the beach. If we had had more time we would have visited the nearby towns of Easton and St. Michael's. The owner, Hap, was extremely helpful and reasonable and ensured that we had an excellent vacation. This was the perfect venue for our large family to reunite for our parents' 50th wedding anniversary and spend time relaxing together. We would heartily recommend the Swan's Nest for a similar occasion!"

  • Relaxing Weekend Getaway!

"We were impressed with the condo and how nice and clean it was. The place was just right size and in a great location with just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed eating outside on the balcony as it wasn't too hot and the sun doesn't beat down on you! Pat was excellent to work with and I look forward to booking again soon!"
