  • Better than a four star hotel!!!

"We love this place. Every amenity is here. From the bath towels to the appliances - everything is very high end. I notice things in a remodel. The owners did an exceptional job keeping the 1930's aura. The moldings, wainscoating and the the little pass through window between the kitchen and living room add so much charm and character. And the house is wonderfully decorated. The furniture and beds are soft, cushy and comfortable. The decor is also wonderful. Every little detail lends the idea this place is very professionally decorated, but in a fun way (I love the fish pillow). It's much more spacious than the photos show. We met the the next door neighbors and some of the towns people - everyone is very friendly. It's awesome to walk out the boardwalk with your morning coffee and enjoy the breeze and sunrise. It's not a bad drive to Annapolis or DC. There are no traffic problems in getting here, either. It's also very quiet at night. A true home away from home!!!"

  • Travels with Pups

"Chesabelle was a wonderful getaway. It has a beautiful view and was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the screened in porch with a view of the glistening bay. My 2 dogs enjoyed swimming in the bay, romping on the beach and daily walks on quiet roads. We walked the beach daily collecting shells and stones. The bikes were a great addition to explore the area. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to be pampered, soaking in the old fashioned tub and the dual shower heads with wonderful smelling shower gels and soaks. We went to Flag Ponds Nature Park to walk the beach and look for fossils. Nice place to spend the day, it has wonderful large beach and nature trails ( 1/2 hour away) .Chesabelle was a very nice getaway and was very tempted to add an extra day. Our pup Jasper did not want to leave. Just for reference if you come out of season 2 local restaurants ( within 15 minutes away) are closed. We were here the beginning of May.Check out St Inigoes General store for carryout subs, salads, breakfast and daily specials that is close to Chesabelle."

  • A wonderful weekend

"My wife and I stayed at the Tall Timbers Cottage for a spring weekend - the weather was sunny and warm, with a small breeze - just fantastic. We loved the cottage - parking was easy, the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed (and more), the living room was fun to use, and the bedrooms were comfortable. The cottage is very well-located - a quick 1 minute walk to the water with an unforgettable sunset every evening. We loved going to the Reluctant Navigator for Sunday brunch - they make a mean bloody mary. Overall, we highly recommend Tall Timbers Cottage, especially for a quiet weekend getaway, or romantic weekend. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. Best, Nandor and Nicole"

  • Harbor Cottage - Comfy & Cozy

"Beautiful location. Clean beach. Quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. Despite our rainy weather, there was plenty to do on Solomons island and surrounding areas. Great eateries. Cottage was very cozy. 50 miles from DC. Katherine, the owner was a pleasure to work with and very helpful. We will definitely be returning."
