"Our group (age 66-3 months) spent a week at Ed's and Nancy's home at the end of August and found it a delightful relaxing vacation. Everything is "as advertised." The house is just as pictured. It has high quality furnishings, comfortable beds, large TVs, weber gas grill, etc., and a spacious screened in back porch/deck with a great view facing the mouth of the Wicomico River with a view of the Potomac and Virginia coast in the distance. We enjoyed the sunrises with a cup of coffee in the mornings, playing games and puzzles and reading during the day, and waning sunlight in the evenings with margaritas and snacks.
My two grandboys - age 5 and 7 spent all day exploring the little beach and swimming with life jackets and floats around the pier and collecting shells and glass. There are a lot of birds to watch - ducks, gulls, geese. There is an osprey nest two lots over and you can watch the ospreys fish and carry their catch to their nest in a pine tree by the river. We got "old chicken-crab bait" at the little market and kept the crab trap loaded all week so that by Friday, we had enough legal crabs to have steam and eat. (In spite of the poor season.)
There is no amusement park or boardwalk and the local restaurants are very limited, but there are kayaks to explore the coast and bikes to explore the little island and that beautiful back porch and view. I highly recommend it if it what I have described sounds appealing to you."

"Had a great time at Chesabelle - the house is comfy and welcoming. We enjoyed the screened in porch and got to watch some great night time storms on the bay from it. The beach is just across the road- very convenient access. Made use of everything but the bikes (just too hot out or we would have!). We met some of the people staying at other Scotland Yards properties and ended up with nightly get togethers, which was an added niice touch to the vacation. We'll likely return later this year, either to Chesabelle or one of the Kentigerns."

"The beach house was absolutely gorgeous and the Chesapeake Bay was so beautiful and close. The rental was completely equipped for many, many people (we had 11). So many porches and views! The owner could not have been more accomodating. Hated to leave! Will definately rent again!"
