"What a great time. I will have to admit I was a little worried about taking my teenage boys to a "cottage" 1 bedroom, 1 bath, no wifi and no cable. What a great time we had...boys actually became boys again... NO GAMING, TEXTING, INSTAGRAM... Instead we fished and crabbed ALL DAY! When that was not going on; the Boys were on FLOATS goofing off and playing in the water. The selection of vintage bikes were also great. The boys loved touring the island. WHAT A GREAT 4 DAYS. At night we would ALL watch a show on the 1 TV or played games as a FAMILY...unheard of right? Not at the CRANBERRY COTTAGE! The owners Betty and Vincent were as great as the cottage!"

"As soon as we walked into this darling cottage, we loved it! It was cozy but open, there were TWO fenced yards, off street parking... the list goes on! The kitchen had everything including coffee! There was always something new to see, from the artwork to the darling little doorstop in the bathroom, the rustic and clever use of wood and space... the adorable kitchen clock... just fun!
Gary was very nice, helpful, hospitable... we totally enjoyed meeting him!
My only regret was that we did not get to spend more time at the cottage! Our last morning there, we actually got to take a nice walk with our dogs down to the Chesapeake and along the boardwalk. The location is ideal!"

"We rented the Chesabelle for a weekend celebration of my mother's 85th birthday, and it suited us perfectly! As all the other reviews say, this place is in a beautiful settling just across from the Chesapeake Bay, and the house is stylishly decorated (interesting art!) & very clean. It is not advertised as handicapped-accessible, but for those who do not use wheelchairs, should be accessible enough. My mom uses a cane, but the 2 or so steps up into the house were no problem for her. Everything within the house is on a single level. There's a walk-in shower (we have a fold-up shower bench); the commodes are standard, but posed no problems. The place looks small as you drive up, but actually there is a lot of room. Our group consisted of my husband & me, our adult daughter, and my mother. We definitely want to return, adding to the group my son, daughter-in-law, their toddler daughter and dog. Even though it was stormy during our stay, the power of the waves crashing on the shore was mesmerizing, and we truly enjoyed it."
