Great place to stay
"The house was very comfortable, easy to get to and from Wisp, and was well kept."

"We just returned from a week at the lake and "At Lakes Edge" was perfect! We had 4 families under one roof, and this property was big enough for everyone- no one felt like they were on top of anyone else. The pictures do not do this place justice. The bedrooms were generously sized. The kitchen was very well equipped and was bigger than we expected. We loved the view from while playing pool in the loft and enjoyed swinging on the porch swing in the evening while the kids ran around on the wonderful lawn. And of course we spent a lot of time jumping in the lake! The location was ideal- close enough to the supermarket and ice cream to make things convenient, but it still felt serene. You will not be disappointed by this property!"

"We just stayed at this house for the week of New Year's and we had the wonderful time. The house is just beautiful! Very spacious and bright. The kitchen is huge and very comfortable, although we didn't really cook much, it was our favorite place to hang out, have drinks and snacks and just enjoy ourselves. The kids were in Paradise with so much space, we all played Hide and Go seek with them and they just had a blast. There is a Brewery within walking distance from the house that has really good Pizza and of course the beer is also great. We liked it so much, we went there a couple of times. Wisp resort is very close, the entrance to the Resort is right down the street from the house. We don't really ski, but we did the snow tubing and the Mountain Coaster and that was super fun. We also went to DC one day which is about 3 hours drive, but left early in the morning and had enough time to visit/see most of the important places around the National Mall. The owner was friendly and attentive, she responded fast to all our questions/requests which we didn't really have many. We were there to have a good time and so we did. Only downside, there was no snow at that time of the year, we were told by many locals that they usually have snow for the end of the year, but not this time. I wish we could go during the Snow months, but the kids have school so that's not an option for now. Hopefully in the future... I would definitely stay there again, same house, wouldn't change a thing."

"Property was clean. Kids loved the loft. Very narrow spiral staircase to access. Kitchen appliances were good. Toaster oven was handy.
There was only one DVD player in lower level and it did not work. The family room had a VCR. No movies for us. Flat screen TV's were good.
We had to purchase fire starter sticks and matches. Bring your own if you want to use the fireplace. Wood was outside and wet. At the end of your stay you need to collect all the garbage and drive it in your car to the dumpsters on a different road. Yuk.
Skiing was great and Wisp/Deep Creek is a fun family destination."
