  • Stinky sinks... otherwise, a nice stay

"Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the price this was a great find. Huge backyard right on the lake, very quiet and serene. Unfortunately we were rained out most of our weekend stay so we were stuck inside and the house is a little dated. Particularly the pipes (and therefore water in the sinks and shower) smelled like they had not been used in a long time and when we first got there the water breaker was turned off. The stinky kitchen sink in particular made cooking a little unpleasant. It has a beautiful view though and we wish we could have enjoyed the yard and the dock a bit more because they were wonderful!"

  • Great Place to Get Away from it All!

"My husband and I arrived on 9/5/14 and were quickly joined by three other couples for our annual get-away weekend. The house is actually smaller than the pictures make it appear, but it is very well laid out and comfortable for four couples - each couple had their own bath, which is a very nice perk! House is beautifully decorated with lots of obviously local crafts/artwork. The kitchen is fully equipped with a very nice set of potware and a large amount of plate and glassware - more than needed. Another nice feature was the fact that the house already had basic cleaning materials and trash bags (even though we'd come prepared, was still a nice thing to see!). Bedrooms and bedding (including the linens) were very nice and clean - again a very nice thing! Only drawback (and it's really not a huge one) is that there are some very nice throw rugs/runners in the main area of the house that really should be secured with the anti slip matting - we actually ended up removing and storing them until the end of our stay for the safety of one of our party. Overall we were very impressed with the house and would consider re-renting it if it met the needs of our trip."

  • September Vacation

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in the Deep Creek Lake area for the 5 night stay. The property at 467 Paradise Ridge Road was in the good location over looking the lake. The property was what I expected for the location but needed some cleaning both inside and outside (lots of pet hair and damage screen door which prevented us from opening the door for fresh air in the kitchen area)but all in all a great vacation time and enjoyed the stay at 467 Paradise Ridge Road."

  • Diamond In The Woods

"Had not stayed at Deep Creek Lake since I retired 6 years ago. We decided that it was time to get the family together again for a fun week at Deep Creek Lake. There were 11 adults and our 18 month old grandson in our party. This two level home was extremely roomy, tastfully decorated, very comfortable and reasonably priced. You'll find all the comforts of home here plus some including cable, 2 large televisions, wifi, ac, heat, 2 wood burning fireplaces, very well appointed kitchen, washer & dryer, pool table, ping pong table, 2 outdoor firepits, horseshoes, huge supples of firewood, 2 kayaks, private dock , hot tub, sauna and cute manmade sandy beach area. The property sits on 2 lovely wooded acres and is very private and quiet. There is a pathway lit with ground lighting in the back that slopes gently down to the lake, private dock and sandy beach area. There were sightings of deer on the property in the evening and on one particular occasion five deer crossed my path while I was walking back up the path from the lake to the house. What an amazing sight that was! We spent the week fishing, kayaking, hiking and sightseeing. The weather was wonderful and sunny with temps. In the low 70's during the day. Fishing right off the dock and sandy beach area yielded walleye, rock bass and large mouth bass using minnows for bait. Chilly evenings were spent laughing and chatting around a warm bonfire. Pass the marshmallows please. What a petfectly relaxing wonderful and fun filled week we had together. No one was ready to leave and the week just seemed to fly by. We just couldn't have asked for a better retreat than this perfect diamond in the woods!"
