Great Place to Get Away from it All!
"My husband and I arrived on 9/5/14 and were quickly joined by three other couples for our annual get-away weekend. The house is actually smaller than the pictures make it appear, but it is very well laid out and comfortable for four couples - each couple had their own bath, which is a very nice perk!
House is beautifully decorated with lots of obviously local crafts/artwork. The kitchen is fully equipped with a very nice set of potware and a large amount of plate and glassware - more than needed. Another nice feature was the fact that the house already had basic cleaning materials and trash bags (even though we'd come prepared, was still a nice thing to see!).
Bedrooms and bedding (including the linens) were very nice and clean - again a very nice thing! Only drawback (and it's really not a huge one) is that there are some very nice throw rugs/runners in the main area of the house that really should be secured with the anti slip matting - we actually ended up removing and storing them until the end of our stay for the safety of one of our party.
Overall we were very impressed with the house and would consider re-renting it if it met the needs of our trip."

"Our family spent a wonderful week at Emerald Outlook. Pictures do not do justice to this property. Walking in and looking out at the lake was jaw dropping. The house was clean and well maintained. Our grandkids are ages 8-16 and the oldest family member, (me), 67. We all had a fun time. Something for everyone. Most relaxing and fun vacation I can remember. Close to attractions and reataurants. Very convenient. Can't wait to go back. We miss it already!"

Great home on the lake - fun for adults, kids and pets!
"We really enjoyed our stay at Deep Creek. The owner is super responsive, and very helpful. We had a small issue with the downstairs shower and it was fixed within 24 business hours! We enjoyed a boat rental that we were able to keep at the private dock, hiking at nearby Swallow Falls, and whitewater rafting at OhioPyle Trading post on the Lower Yough. Lots of fun for just one week! It was great to be able to bring our dogs too. The home was comfortable and we had 6 teenagers, 4 adults and 2 dogs staying there - so there is plenty of room for a family. The yard is a nice size to bring games like cornhole and ladderball and the hottub is delightful for the cool evenings. The only downside is the traffic this time of year is a little heavy and is right below the house. Overall it was a great experience and we all highly recommend Our Lake Front!"

"My husband and I and our daughter and her husband and 4 young children enjoyed a week at the lodge. This is a very comfortable, well equipped home furnished with quality furniture. We enjoyed many features of the home, not the least of which was the hot tub! The deck is spacious and comfortable as well. The pool table and air hockey got a lot of use as did the kids toys. We were happy that there was a crib, play pen and high chair. If you are counting on the stroller, make sure to ask if the flat tire has been repaired. They are very responsive (we had an issue with the reverse osmosis water faucet and a repair person came quickly) so I'm sure it will be fixed. The home is close to state parks which we enjoyed. Having the pass included is a nice bonus! The playground is wonderful too. We were the only ones using it since this is the only house in the development currently. It's too far away to have little ones go play alone, but older children would do well. As another guest noted, you will need to provide toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, hand soap, trash bags, etc. The rental company gave a welcome bag but it only included 4 coffee servings, one package of very small toilet paper rolls and one very slim roll of paper towels. I wish we had brought more from home. The existing rolls, soaps, etc. were close to empty in most cases. This was not a deal breaker; many home do require you to bring those things...just noting so you are prepared to pack them or shop for them soon. This home is so lovely that if it rains while you are there, you will still enjoy peace and quiet and can build a fire in or out."
