  • First Timer

"This is my first time visiting Deep Creek, and I enjoyed my stay. The house was very clean, aside from the bar sink in the basement. I enjoyed the hot tub I just wish it got a little hotter. Great cost! I would definitely stay here again."

  • An excellent place to stay --

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place has everything you could want (even a Cuisinart food processor). My husband, our three children and two spouses, and our 20-month grandchild joined in on a week at the lake and we all agreed that it’s the best lake house we’ve stayed in. We always spend a week or two on a lake each summer for the last 12 years. It’s a great house and property! The house is well maintained and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable. My husband loved how the master bedroom was on a different wing of the house, very quiet. The common areas (dining, living, deck) are large. The deck is great and there is a well-maintained hot tub off it which we never used though it looked very inviting. You are set back from the lake, not too far. You see the lake from the house and deck and because of the way they landscaped the property you feel close. Instead of undergrowth under the trees they somehow have moss growing from the deck all of the way to the lake. It’s a magical! The property is pretty level, easy walking for the 20 month-old. There is an extensive dock and seating by the lake with a fire ring, very nice. Nice place to watch the sunset. You are pretty insulated from the neighbors. It’s quiet and secluded. We worked with Stevi Lutheran. She was marvelous in fielding our questions, etc. She’s top notch and made the rental process easy"

  • The perfect winter wonderland

"This might be a long review but I wanted to give this house and it's owners their due. First things first. Reserving this house was so simple and easy. Using VRBO can be tricky at times due to the large number of agents who mask their listings as owners but this was not the case. Claudia and Mark were quick to respond and answered all of our questions completely. They made us feel at home before we even left home. We arrived on Saturday evening to a beautiful home. As soon as we walked in the door we felt so relaxed and at ease. The house is perfectly furnished from top to bottom. The little touches around the house showed us the owners really care about their guests. We thought we would go out to dinner the first night but we felt so comfortable there after a long day of skiing we just put on our slippers and cooked up a nice spaghetti dinner (The grocery store is 5 minutes away)and then just relaxed looking forward to the morning when we could see the view from the house. WOW is all I have to say is wow, what a view to wake up to. After breakfast we were off to go skiing. We were at Wisp in 5 minutes. The weather was perfect all weekend and the crowds were not as bad as people say they can be. Relaxing in this home is easy. The movie collection is by far the most extensive I have seen in any rental home. They had movies for every age group. The furniture is very comfortable and up to date. The furnishings are nice and not typical of rental homes and that made it feel like a home not a rental. We are already looking to go back over the summer and next winter as well. We really had a great time."
