  • Quiet and peaceful

"This house provided us with peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting. It's not far from town, but even if you just want to hang out at home, this is the place. The house, the grounds, the flowers, the pool, all inviting you to just stay home and relax."

  • This house is even better than the photos!

"We rented this house for a week for one of our authors. When we arrived to visit, we were overwhelmed and awed how every inch of this house and yard have charm. The house and the living room and kitchen have an open modern, but rustic feel, which you can tell is cool in the summer and cozy in winter. The post and beam living room is stunning with it's stone fireplace, windows all around to the outside, and space—it's a great "great" room for family. The upstairs bedrooms have beautiful light, simple beauty, and the cutest day bed for cozy reading or a child sleeping. Outside there is the fabulous private patio with flowering trees all around that overlooks the stream with a cute bridge, and a lovely view of the red barn. This is definitely a house to escape to, and a place you wish you could stay all the time. The setting is perfect, the mood is just right. This is a place to slow down the pace of everyday. We would go back in a minute."

  • Berkshire family getaway!

"You're in for a treat, this place is a real sanctuary. We have had the pleasure of staying here for years, and consistently come back for more. Our last visit, we made ourselves at home right away. As usual, we enjoyed the stunning view of the lake, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, movies by the fireplace, and hiking. Beyond these favorite pastimes, our most recent stay in the cottage was particularly memorable because our 10 month old daughter took her first steps here. This is truly our home away from home. Highly recommended. We look forward to more memories ahead here."

  • Romantic, Quiet, Super Private, Very clean

"My wife and I needed a weekend getaway and we decided on this property. It's absolutely gorgeous set in the woods on the owners property but a safe private distance away. We actually never saw the owner and have the full use of the entire property which includes a beautiful garden and a nice pond walk as well as outdoor seating and lounge chairs a table and a Pergola that overlooks the pond and has stunning views of the woods and the foliage. The owner was very nice on the phone and very prompt whether it was phone or email. The house itself is small but surprisingly large on the inside that has a separated small kitchen and opens up into a studio with a large bed that is looks more like a large boutique hotel suite. It was beautifully appointed and very clean. We plan on going again as it's conveniently located about 20 to 25 minutes to Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee and about 35-40 minutes to Great Barrington and the drives are absolutely magnificent"
