Recent Berkshires reviews

  • Very comfortable house

"This house has an excellent location: equidistant from Stockbridge and Lenox (a vigorous walk to Tanglewood). The Stockbridge Bowl is across the road, with good swimming and is staffed by at least one lifeguard. There is lots of local theater and cultural activities within a short distance. The house is comfortable, and has central air conditioning for the rare hot Berkshires evening. The kitchen is well-stocked, and there is a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a washer and dryer."

  • Beautiful Experience - Renovated Farm House

"In this house the owner has thought of everything from garbage pickup to utilities management to make our stay seamless. The house is 4 bedrooms, decorated by the owner- she seems to be an interior decorator. I believe you could also sleep people in the other rooms - potentially 12+ in total.  We are extremely pleased. She has been amazing and a great counterpart - exactly on schedule remembering every question, comment. She is a seasoned professional. The house is much better than the pictures indicate. The surround windows are gorgeous - many living areas, great internet.   The area generally has poor internet speeds. This is not the case at this house -  we were amazed. I work full-time and the connectivity is the best we've ever seen in the Berkshires. I suspect its because it's very near a biz district. The convenience of the shops and the Community Center (swim, workout, basketball) is amazing - 3 min drive. It feels like a lush country house with every dish, pitcher, cooking utencil you could dream about.  While there is an enormous dining table with 2 other living areas on the first floor - the home has an addition - a fun room with a huge gas fireplace in the middle that feels like a Texas billionaire's play room - billiards, darts and all. We're having a great time and give this house our top recommendation in this area. While we are enjoying the skiing the summer season must be amazing."

  • Clean and comfortable

"The house was open, bright, and very comfortable. Julia and Robb were very easy to contact and responsive to all of my questions leading up to the weekend. I actually appreciated paying a cleaning fee, because I had peace of mind that the place would be nice and clean on arrival, and it was! The pictures of the house were spot on, although I was still surprised by how big the master bedroom was. I loved the recliners in the master bedroom and also the big double shower. The house comfortably slept 3 couples and 1 infant. We did all of our own cooking for the weekend, so we found that the kitchen was well-equipped with the basics for cooking. I really appreciated not having to bring things like paper towels and dish soap. I would definitely recommend this property in the future."

  • Luxurious Peaceful Getaway-5 Stars!!!

"I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is by far the most amazing place my husband and I ever stayed. The pictures really do not do this place justice. To begin with, the setting is incredible. You feel like you've stepped onto an exclusive resort. The house itself is modern, welcoming, and extremely comfortable. It feels like the cabin was built and decorated with extreme care and consideration. My husband and I basically used the property ourselves you could easily house another couple and kids. While New Marlborough is remote, we found access to the Southfield Store and Gedney Farm gave us great "night out" options for evenings when we didn't feel like cooking. For exploring the Berkshires we loved this spot. Great Barrington has a ton going on and the house is only a quick 20 minute drive away. Lenox, Stockbridge, and all other Berkshire attraction are only about 30 minutes away. We looked forward to returning to this enchanting cabin after hikes and excursions. We would often enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and watch the sun set and marvel at the setting. Everything in the house is top quality- the linens, pillows, everything. This place is a gem. We feel lucky we got a chance to stay there."
