  • Christmas in January!

"Elaine's farmhouse worked out perfectly for our January celebration/family gathering. Plenty of room for a sit down dinner at the large dining room table, as well as seating in the Living Room to watch the football games! Hiking trails and skiing nearby provided something for everyone! Elaine was very helpful and we look forward to returning."

  • Dream Vacation!

"We had a wonderful time! The property was amazing and the home had everything we needed. The out door eating areas are numerous - and we utilized all of them. I did not want to leave! Bobby was very helpful throughout the week when we had questions. Besides harvesting vegetables from the garden for our dinners, we hiked a nearby waterfall, visited the Norman Rockwell museum and shopped at the farmer's markets and Blue Hills Farm. The house was everything we thought it would be!"

  • Wedding Getaway

"We were in town for my son's wedding and the lake house was absolutely perfect. It was 30 minutes from Tanglewood where the wedding was held, 5 minutes from my daughter-in-laws parents and grandparents house and close to all amenities. We really enjoyed relaxing at the lake with the family. We brought our own lawn chairs because we were traveling by car and that helped. I fully recommend the house for family gatherings."

  • comfortable home in a beautiful setting

"My brother, sister-in-law, dog and I came up for a weekend of downhill skiing at Butternut (in Great Barrington), and snowshoeing in Kennedy Park (in Lenox). This house was perfectly situated to both locations, and gave us a warm, comfortable home base in which to relax after our outings. Though central to these surrounding towns, it has the feeling of remoteness due to the amount of land and way it is tucked away in the woods. We found the house roomy, warm and well furnished, with comfortable beds and a nice eat-in kitchen. There is a magnificent fireplace which we used every night, with plenty of firewood and kindling available. Due to the snow cover, it was impossible for us to explore the grounds very much, but it looks to be a lovely place to come in the summer for hiking, etc. Thanks very much to the owners for allowing us the use of their lovely home! Hope to be back one day. :)"

Staying in the Berkshires is a great place to spend your vacation. Cheshire vacation rentals present great opportunities for individuals, groups of friends or the entire family. Fun in the Berkshires

Whitney's Farm Market and Garden Center, located in Cheshire, is fun for everyone. Depending on the season you visit, you may find a corn maze, Christmas trees or the petting zoo. You can always find lunch at the deli or bakery. Cheshire is known for its cheese making. In 1801, every farmer in Cheshire used one curd of his own cheese to create an enormous cheese for President Jefferson. The cheese weighed over 1,000 pounds and is remembered by a monument standing in Leland Park. Hoosac Lake is open during the summer months for picnicking, and boating is available at Horn's Beach. During the winter, skiing is available at Jiminy Peak, located only eight miles outside of Cheshire.
