  • Clean, Serene Getaway Cabin

    "The cabin was super clean, with all of the ammenities we could need including towels, kitchenware and even games. We had a wonderful time, with lots of relaxation. The owners were very easy to work with, and helpful throughout the booking and checking in process. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin for a lovely stay! Nearby attractions that we visited were Kripalu, Tanglewood and the Norman Rockwell Museum. Many lovely shops in stockbridge and a large grocery store close by."

  • Elegant, quaint 19th Century New England Style Apt

    "My son got married at Jacob's Pillow Dance and we needed a place to stay that was close to all the activities since we live out of state. This apartment is located in the town of Lee and is walking distant to everything we needed. It was centrally located between Jacob's Pillow Dance where the wedding took place and Cranwell resort for the Welcome Barbecue and Goodbye Brunch. My sister and husband from Ca. stayed with us. We all absolutely adored this place. There is plenty of room for two couples and we enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the lovely herbs that were growing in the garden. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you possible need with a grocery store within walking distance. The bathroom was also well stocked with towels. The sink upstairs was an added bonus and help out. The whole apartment is quaint and very comfortable. It is much larger and roomier than the pictures showed. The street noise was really not an issue. They have noise machine in both rooms and we loved falling asleep to the cricket sound. It reminded of our home in Colorado. The manager and owners were very helpful and friendly. The outside area is immaculate and we enjoyed drinking our coffee on the front porch. A barbecue was available along with a patio set that got put to good use. This was our first experience with an VRBO and we could not be more pleased with our choice. We will return again when we can spend more time exploring the Bershires."

  • New Year's visit from Australia

    "The house was very well set up for our party of 8 - two familes. Cosy living rooms, a large kitchen and dining table to easily accommodate everyone. The property is very quiet, set well back from the road and conveniently located 15 minutes from Great Barrington. Highlights were expedition up Race Brook falls (trail head is 500m away), Bartholemew's Cobble and great dinner at the Stagecoach Tavern (1 minute drive!)."

  • A Response to the Stern Review Below

    "We are not sure if this is the correct way to respond to a review like the one below - but considering how passionate we are about providing our guests with great service and how much we truly care about our property, we wanted to follow up on the concerns listed - - We are very proud of the property, both the fact that it has it own private dock, its own boats to use and the fact - as displayed and showcased on the site - over four acres of property with diverse paths to stroll and enjoy the Berkshires. A trip around Monterey and Lake Garfield will show that there are very few areas in the Berkshires that provide that much land and private docks access to enjoy the lake. While we are sorry they were expecting the house to be right on the water, we are not looking to misrepresent the house is anyway. - Up until this renter, we have never received about water pressure. It should be noted that like many in the area we get our water from a well, we also invested a great of money to have the water filtered and softened. It is very nice. Immediately after their stay, we went to the property ourselves to understand the issue they were describing. We could not find any issue. We could only fairly assume that a much larger group of people stayed at the house then agreed to and that the well could not handle everyone taking a shower at once. - Regarding the appliance concern. This is really unfair. During their stay the refrigerator broke. Instead of wasting time making an appointment with a repair man, accessing the problem or ordering a part, we immediately just bought a new fridge and paid extra to have it delivered within 24 hour. In the interim, we had our property manager open up our private pantry and let them use our personal fridge and freezer. I am not sure what else we could have done. - Regarding the trash concern. Being in the position is unfair. Our property manager came to the house immediately and cleaned up the mess. We understand the Sterns were not happy with their stay and that is well within there right. Prior to their stay, considering the many, many pre-stay phone calls they made to us - with special needs and questions, we thought it might be a bit of a high maintenance visit. What we did not realized is that after working so hard to address their needs, they would then look to unfairly characterize their stay. Please know we did everything to make their stay perfect. Thank you."
