"This house is located in the hills of Monterey, surrounded by gorgeous woods. It is warm and comfortable and smartly and imaginatively decorated, especially with the owner's art work. All the great Berkshire attractions and activities are within easy reach and the drives are beautiful."

"We enjoyed a week of fishing, bird watching, peace and quiet in this comfortable home right on the water! We loved the covered deck to "kick back" and watch the world go by. We explored Great Barrington and other areas in the Berkshires. We plan a return trip next year!"

"You're in for a treat, this place is a real sanctuary.
We have had the pleasure of staying here for years, and consistently come back for more. Our last visit, we made ourselves at home right away. As usual, we enjoyed the stunning view of the lake, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, movies by the fireplace, and hiking.
Beyond these favorite pastimes, our most recent stay in the cottage was particularly memorable because our 10 month old daughter took her first steps here. This is truly our home away from home.
Highly recommended. We look forward to more memories ahead here."

"This charming cottage in the midst of the forest is a delightful find! My husband and I stayed here for about 10 days in August. Our adult kids came out to join us for a couple of nights. We all had a wonderful time, including picnics at Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow, wandering around Great Barrington, and a day trip to Mount Greylock and the Clark Institute in Williamstown. But best of all was reading in the hammock on the screen porch with a cup of coffee, or listening to music while chopping vegetables for dinner in the big open kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the hosts have arranged the house very intuitively so that everything is right where you need it. Their recommendations for places to eat, local hikes, and other entertainments helped us get situated right away, and they were very gracious and responsive to any inquiries. We really enjoyed the mix of quiet solitude and cultural activity—not to mention the beauty of the natural setting – and hope to go back when the opportunity arises."
