  • Great Girls Weekend

"We had an Excellent Girls weekend at Starry Nite! Beautiful spot, very clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Steve was great to work with and very helpful with my questions. We enjoyed cooking on the grill one night, foliage, shopping, a tour of The Edith Wharton House, enjoyed dinner at Brava in Lenox Sat night, and let's not forget some Kareoke!! What fun!! Rt 20 traffic did not bother me -you can take the back bedrooms if it's a concern. All in all, we had a wonderful time!!"

  • Bride's family

"An excellent week before & after my daughter's wedding. All clean & as portrayed on the site. Loved the separate downstairs area. My 3 young grand daughters moved right in to the bed in the wall. They said we're " camping " inside!! Loved the deck off the master & the colorful neighbor! A quirky house, yet works well for a family. The town beach is perfect for young children & Tanglewood so close for music & a family picnic."

  • Perfect stay in lovely home

"My husband and I, along with our Westie, Zipper, spent 5 wonderful weeks in this lovely home, coming from Georgia to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were charmed by the many exquisite architectural features in this house; one has only to look closely at the pictures, which are an accurate representation. The kitchen and bathrooms are small by today's standards, but are true to size for a home almost 100 years old! The home was very well maintained, and I would guess it had been a beloved home of a happy family. A couple of things it may be helpful for a large group to know..... All 4 bedrooms are upstairs, and guests staying in the two with twin beds must pass through an adjacent bedroom to access the bathroom. It wasn't an issue for the two of us as we only used 1 of the bedrooms, but a large group of non-family members would want to be aware of this layout. A small claw foot bathtub was added to the half bathroom downstairs, making it a full bath, immediately prior to our arrival, and it was perfect for our needs. In fact, everything about this house was perfect! The owners were delightful to work with as well--responsive, kind, and considerate. There is a river on the property running parallel to the driveway, where we enjoyed coffee every morning. While the house is only about 5 minutes from downtown Great Barrington, the setting is so private that you feel as if you are in the country. The house isn't air-conditioned, and we were a little concerned that we might be trading the heat and humidity of a Georgia summer for one in Massachusetts, but that was a needless worry. Abutting a hillside, the house remained cool throughout our 5 weeks there -- even upstairs (and there are fans in every bedroom). Not only was the location perfect for its proximity to downtown GB, it was also ideal for short day trips to Connecticut (we especially enjoyed Kent), western New York, and the entire Berkshires area. GB itself, as well as 90 minutes in any direction, promises a variety of culturally rich offerings including concerts, plays, etc. And, you must visit the Berkshire Mountain Bakery in Housatonic (about 10 minutes from the house) for the amazing variety of breads and home-made pizzas. The "bread with dark chocolate" was worth every pound gained from our (MY) almost daily indulgence. And, if you're traveling with a dog, you'll want to visit Tina at Ben's Dotter Pet Store and Robin at Wash & Wag for grooming. A delightful stay all around!"

  • Amazing, lovingly restored gorgeous luxury farmhouse

"We spent Christmas week 2013 in this house with our grown children. We often take family vacations to far-away lands where we stay at five star hotels. The week we spent at Camelot was among our favorite family vacations. All five of us loved it! First of all, the house rivals any luxury hotel we've stayed in. The owners have restored this old farmhouse with impeccable taste, guided by both comfort and gorgeous aesthetics. The photos on the site don't do it justice. It is just so beautiful, inside and out. As for outside...the house sits on many acres, surrounded by rolling hills and the Appalachian Trail in the backyard, along with stables with beautiful horses roaming around. What a divine setting! We spent the days skiing, hiking the Appalachian trail in the backyard and exploring the area. We spent the evenings cooking delicious meals in the stunning kitchen, playing games and reading by the fire. All in all, an incredibly relaxing, rejuvenating week! The owners are as gracious and welcoming as their gorgeous property. They were delightful to deal with, checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable, left lots of information and made us feel completely at home in their beautiful farmhouse. We all can't wait to go back!"
