  • 50th Anniversary and Thanksgiving

"Did we want a party? Was the question our children wanted to know and we said no, we just wanted to have them around so we could hang out with them. But our house is very small. Well that was around Easter when they told us they would take care of it. Our 50th anniversary was the 21st of November and very close to Thanksgiving. So they worked together long distance, our son and his family live down south, thankfully our daughter and her family live approximately 1 1/4 hr. away. I'm sure emails and calls and texts were many to make these wonderful plans. Your house was so welcoming and family friendly, as we went from room to room we just keep saying this is exactly what we needed. I think we all had our own rooms and sitting areas with plenty of bathrooms. The two boys were so happy when they opened the door in their room and found a play area with trucks and toys. It was wonderful. Family and friends came to dinner and to visit during our time there. Then to top off everything was the snow we had on the 26th, the children and all of us just loved it. Beside thanking you for the use of your house, I thank all my children and grandchildren for making this the most wonderful time of our life. There was 6 adults 3 teens and 3 little ones and we were so comfortable. I hope we can do this again during the summer. What a great place to get together."

  • Comfy and Peaceful

"A very comfortable place to stay and a great location. The house is on a quiet street and has beautiful lake views and access to the lake down a short hill, and it’s also just 2 minutes off Route 7, so it’s very convenient for exploring the area. The house is well-equipped and has anything you could need. I especially appreciated having a washer/dryer after a hike at nearby Mt. Greylock got very muddy."

  • Cozy, clean, nice.

"We stayed at the Country Bungalow for our son's orientation at MCLA in North Adams. The house was cozy and clean, with everything we needed, plus cows, which enchanted the kids. Carl was extremely accommodating. I only wish we'd been able to stay more than two nights! Be aware that cellphone reception is spotty at best, but the wifi worked perfectly. The tradeoff for poor cell service? You're in the gorgeous Berkshire Mountains at the foot of Mount Greylock. So lovely, and a wonderful getaway."

  • Very Nice - Excellent - Outstanding

"We rented this outstanding property the day after Christmas for a long weekend (10 Adults - ages 23 thru 54) and everyone loved the place. The property was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out and relax - the place has a great set-up for all the bedrooms - beds and linens are of very high quality. The kitchen has everything you need (we had some great meals and we had plenty of room to all eat together). The living room and sun room are great for hanging out and enjoying whatever activity you plan on doing (reading a good book- watching the big screen TV - playing cards or board games while enjoying a nice warm fire). Plenty of space to all hang together but the layout of the house allows for everyone to enjoy their own space if they are looking for some quiet time. Also this is a great location for doing multiple activities (running/walking/ice skating - if the weather cooperates skating on the lake would be awesome but there are 2 indoor rinks within 20 minutes if the lake is not frozen - skiing). Also place is very conveniently located to all area attractions. All in all a great winter weekend get away - would recommend this place for a family gathering of all ages. Looking forward to returning again."
