  • Roomy with an amazing view!

"The drive to the cottage was beautiful! The house was spacious and accommodated the 9 of us and 3 dogs very comfortably. Loved having the large deck and also the screened in porch for later in the evening. The private dock was wonderful for lounging and swimming. Definitely recommend the location and plan on going back next year myself!"

  • Another Great Stay!

"Once agin we completely enjoyed our week long stay in this wonderful house. It is the perfect spot for relaxation and quiet with all the amenities. We especially appreciate how immaculate and well equipped the house is -- top of line everything, lots of towels etc, and complete directions on how things work. If desired, there is satellite TV and a good selection of DVDs and books. A new feature is the back up generator which we didn't have to use but would be wonderful in a power outage. Toby is an excellent host who is prompt and efficient and great at offering suggestions about Berkshire attractions. We sampled more Berkshire riches by visiting the Freylinghausen-Morris house which is an interesting example of Modernist architecture and art and the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, a fine old style institution. Heartily recommend the house and the Berkshires!"

  • Yearly Group Getaway

"Our group had a wonderful week here. The home is lovely with stunning views of the lake and the layout is ideal. Big open main floor living space so we could all easily interact and if wanted, plenty of places to go off on your own. The ten and twelve year olds were rarely out of the lake, except when fishing with their homemade traps off the dock. The sunsets were stunning and we had the added bonus of sighting the beavers as they swam by at the end of each day. As other reviewers have mentioned, the house was clean, well maintained and well stocked. Sarah was very helpful showing us the ropes upon arrival and I felt confident that she would have been able to quickly handle any issue that may have come up (none did!)."

  • PERFECT Honeymoon getaway!

"First, we couldn't have timed our wedding and honeymoon better with regards to the peak color changing season! Second, this like COMPLETELY SECLUDED getaway was so amazing to just relax for a week after months of planning, stress and an amazing wedding. I don't know how people take international trips or travel for their honeymoons, but i digress. This little place was perfect for a calm decompression and the little towns around it offer tons of quaint little things to do. We ate like royalty at, hidden little restaurants, found little wilderness ponds to hike around went on a ghost tour at The Mount in Lenox, saw David Sedaris at the Mahaiwe Theater in Great Barrington, saw a play at the Berkshire Theater Group and had dinner and listened to live music at the Dream Away Lodge. Other nights, we nestled up by the fire and played yahtzee, got our butt's kicked by 90's trivial pursuit (we both were teens in the 90's!!!) and made DELICIOUS bacon from the Chicken Farm store a few miles away. I'd also walk around the Otis cemetery. Some really old headstones and even Revolutionary War vets.... We were really impressed with the incredibly efficient use of space. That little fireplace can kick out some heat, for sure, and waking up to rain and looking out from the bed at the trees and ferns made for a perfect way to wake up. The cute little garden house added a nice feel to the place and we took a number of photos on the property with my wife in her wedding dress that were possibly better than the ones taken by our wedding photographer!!! KT was super helpful and responsive and we are looking forward to spending our first anniversary there. The only thing I would say was missing was an ironing board and iron. Enjoy your stay. I know we did!"
