"Our second time at the Mapleleaf Country house! What a great peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. I had to study for an online course so the quiet and Internet were important to me. Pictures are accurate, plenty of basics, linens and towels. Beds are comfortable and great heating system for the cold weather stay. In the heart of the Berkshires so lots to do. Want to come back in the summer to take advantage of their deck and outdoor fire pit. Dog friendly and good for singles and families."

"I am a doctor and my life is stressful. I sold my own summer home two years ago, and was looking last summer to go to a house that was quiet, beautiful, near nature and felt like a home. One I could come into clean and know everything would be there. A home, but better than a home, without the headaches!! This property exceeded our every expectation. Our days began with coffee on the deck. We had fabulous morning swims. Then had wonderful days walking, visiting towns in the Berkshires, buying antiques and hearing music. But we always had this spectacular oasis to come home to. We had a few terrific BBQs, a few nights singing under the stars. My kids, my wife, and I just had a lovely time."

"This charming cottage in the midst of the forest is a delightful find! My husband and I stayed here for about 10 days in August. Our adult kids came out to join us for a couple of nights. We all had a wonderful time, including picnics at Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow, wandering around Great Barrington, and a day trip to Mount Greylock and the Clark Institute in Williamstown. But best of all was reading in the hammock on the screen porch with a cup of coffee, or listening to music while chopping vegetables for dinner in the big open kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the hosts have arranged the house very intuitively so that everything is right where you need it. Their recommendations for places to eat, local hikes, and other entertainments helped us get situated right away, and they were very gracious and responsive to any inquiries. We really enjoyed the mix of quiet solitude and cultural activity—not to mention the beauty of the natural setting – and hope to go back when the opportunity arises."

"My husband and I came up to see a concert at Tanglewood and we usually stay at B&Bs when we travel but decided to try VRBO and we were beyond pleased with this apartment. We loved it so much we could have moved right in! The location is perfect and you're able to walk to many fantastic restaurants and drive a short distance to many other quaint towns. The apartment itself is immaculate and the kitchen is better stocked than my own kitchen with every gadget you can think of. Overall we would stay here again in a heartbeat."
