  • Thanksgiving in a Winter Wonderland

"We just stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a great time. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm and unfortunately the power failed within 20 minutes of arrival. We called Robin and he was able to guide us to where the candles, torches, fireplaces were. Although the power was out for two nights it did not dull our enjoyment. Julie stopped by on Thanksgiving morning to make sure we were okay. The house itself is really well equipped with everything you need for a great stay plenty of bedding, towels etc. I roasted whole pumpkins on the grill outside while the power was off but they had a gas stove that worked perfectly. Lovely kitchen to cook in!Great Barrington and Salisbury are cute towns to stroll around. We loved going for walks in the snow and chatting with the neighbors, the lovely Highland and Belted Galloway cattle they are the real owners of the farm! Would love to come back and experience in the summer."

  • Best location!

"My husband and I were looking to spend a weekend in the Berkshires and wanted to be centrally located to Williamstown. This house was perfect for us. We walked to town for coffee in the morning and drove the 2 miles to Hopkins Forest for a beautiful hike. We had our dog and the back yard is a dream! Huge fenced in area where we could play with our dog when we weren't out with her hiking. The house is well-loved, but if you can look past some of the dated rooms, it's a really great option to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the place was very clean. Thank you for a great weekend getaway!"

  • Elegant, quaint 19th Century New England Style Apt

"My son got married at Jacob's Pillow Dance and we needed a place to stay that was close to all the activities since we live out of state. This apartment is located in the town of Lee and is walking distant to everything we needed. It was centrally located between Jacob's Pillow Dance where the wedding took place and Cranwell resort for the Welcome Barbecue and Goodbye Brunch. My sister and husband from Ca. stayed with us. We all absolutely adored this place. There is plenty of room for two couples and we enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the lovely herbs that were growing in the garden. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you possible need with a grocery store within walking distance. The bathroom was also well stocked with towels. The sink upstairs was an added bonus and help out. The whole apartment is quaint and very comfortable. It is much larger and roomier than the pictures showed. The street noise was really not an issue. They have noise machine in both rooms and we loved falling asleep to the cricket sound. It reminded of our home in Colorado. The manager and owners were very helpful and friendly. The outside area is immaculate and we enjoyed drinking our coffee on the front porch. A barbecue was available along with a patio set that got put to good use. This was our first experience with an VRBO and we could not be more pleased with our choice. We will return again when we can spend more time exploring the Bershires."

  • Riverhouse was a perfect getaway spot

"We spent a lovely Fall week at the Riverhouse. It is exactly as advertised, perched on the bank of the Housatonic River, with a great view across the river from the house and the deck. All you see are trees and water (and the occasional blue heron and bald eagle). Very comfortable, well-equipped and well located. Bee and her mother-in-law, who lives just down the road, were excellent hosts. We will be back!"
