  • Another Great Stay!

"Once agin we completely enjoyed our week long stay in this wonderful house. It is the perfect spot for relaxation and quiet with all the amenities. We especially appreciate how immaculate and well equipped the house is -- top of line everything, lots of towels etc, and complete directions on how things work. If desired, there is satellite TV and a good selection of DVDs and books. A new feature is the back up generator which we didn't have to use but would be wonderful in a power outage. Toby is an excellent host who is prompt and efficient and great at offering suggestions about Berkshire attractions. We sampled more Berkshire riches by visiting the Freylinghausen-Morris house which is an interesting example of Modernist architecture and art and the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, a fine old style institution. Heartily recommend the house and the Berkshires!"

  • Best location!

"My husband and I were looking to spend a weekend in the Berkshires and wanted to be centrally located to Williamstown. This house was perfect for us. We walked to town for coffee in the morning and drove the 2 miles to Hopkins Forest for a beautiful hike. We had our dog and the back yard is a dream! Huge fenced in area where we could play with our dog when we weren't out with her hiking. The house is well-loved, but if you can look past some of the dated rooms, it's a really great option to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the place was very clean. Thank you for a great weekend getaway!"

  • Charming, cozy, comfortable

"This charming cottage in the midst of the forest is a delightful find! My husband and I stayed here for about 10 days in August. Our adult kids came out to join us for a couple of nights. We all had a wonderful time, including picnics at Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow, wandering around Great Barrington, and a day trip to Mount Greylock and the Clark Institute in Williamstown. But best of all was reading in the hammock on the screen porch with a cup of coffee, or listening to music while chopping vegetables for dinner in the big open kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the hosts have arranged the house very intuitively so that everything is right where you need it. Their recommendations for places to eat, local hikes, and other entertainments helped us get situated right away, and they were very gracious and responsive to any inquiries. We really enjoyed the mix of quiet solitude and cultural activity—not to mention the beauty of the natural setting – and hope to go back when the opportunity arises."

  • Just the perfect family getaway in the Berkshires

"Our new favorite place-thank you Corinna for making us feel right at home! The house had everything we needed: An incredible and unsuspected amount of space-which was perfect for us and four kids/teenagers ;-) The formal dining room was large -we had dinners and brunch with family and lingered in conversation it was so comfortable. In the eve we had cheese/crackers and wine out on the enclosed porch. The bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The master was private and the other two bedrooms were far enough away that we all had privacy. Can't say enough about the charm and comfort of the whole house. I found myself in the kitchen wanting to bake with all the wonderful dishes that Corinna has available. Location was also perfect for us to do all we had planned-so close to GB. As a runner I was able to take off in different directions and enjoy a new run each day. The house is clean and well cared for and it shows! We hope to be back soon!"
