"We rented the house for three days and had a wonderful stay. The house is very conveniently located, exceptionally clean, very well stocked, and very comfortable. The advertisement pictures precisely represent the house – although the house was a bit bigger than the pictures suggested. We particularly enjoyed the using the large kitchen table, perusing the area guidebooks, and resting on the very comfortable couch, chairs, and bed. Its proximity to the College and the organic grocery store Wild Oats is fantastic! Because we are tall, we were concerned after reading online reviews that the master bedroom ceiling might not allow us to move around comfortably, but it was no problem at all – the bedroom was quite comfortable. We had absolutely no problems during our stay and found Amy (our contact) professional, efficient, and a joy to correspond with. During our stay, we enjoyed talking short trips to Pittsfield to visit Arrowhead, Melville’s house, and to Sheffield to shop for antiques. Our favorite area restaurant is Mezze, located only a few minutes away, driving. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this house to others, particularly families of 3-4, or couples on vacation. It was ideal for our travel needs and far more comfortable than staying in a motel or hotel. We loved it! Thank you!"Guest: Tea & Cookies Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
"Our new favorite place-thank you Corinna for making us feel right at home! The house had everything we needed: An incredible and unsuspected amount of space-which was perfect for us and four kids/teenagers ;-) The formal dining room was large -we had dinners and brunch with family and lingered in conversation it was so comfortable. In the eve we had cheese/crackers and wine out on the enclosed porch. The bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The master was private and the other two bedrooms were far enough away that we all had privacy. Can't say enough about the charm and comfort of the whole house. I found myself in the kitchen wanting to bake with all the wonderful dishes that Corinna has available. Location was also perfect for us to do all we had planned-so close to GB. As a runner I was able to take off in different directions and enjoy a new run each day. The house is clean and well cared for and it shows! We hope to be back soon!"Guest: Suzy Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 31, 2014View listing
"This was our first trip to the Berkshires and I wanted a cabin/home by a lake so that our teenage sons and any friends that visited us would have a ready source of entertainment. I didn't want a fancy home, but rather something that felt like a lake house. This home fit the bill. The living room is just as pictured, huge windows looking out on the surrounding woods. A fantastic place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the wildlife (in particular a rabbit my oldest son even named) and relax. The lake was a short walk down a grass path and there were plenty of back roads that I could run on in the area. We spent time walking in the area and at Pittsfield State Forest. We also visited the Catamount Trees Aerial Adventure Park and had a fantastic time there. It's not to be missed if you have adventure lovers in your group. And most of all, we relaxed, read books, put together puzzles, and spent time catching up with old friends. It was a fantastic vacation."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 22, 2014View listing
"My wife and I needed a weekend getaway and we decided on this property. It's absolutely gorgeous set in the woods on the owners property but a safe private distance away. We actually never saw the owner and have the full use of the entire property which includes a beautiful garden and a nice pond walk as well as outdoor seating and lounge chairs a table and a Pergola that overlooks the pond and has stunning views of the woods and the foliage. The owner was very nice on the phone and very prompt whether it was phone or email. The house itself is small but surprisingly large on the inside that has a separated small kitchen and opens up into a studio with a large bed that is looks more like a large boutique hotel suite. It was beautifully appointed and very clean. We plan on going again as it's conveniently located about 20 to 25 minutes to Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee and about 35-40 minutes to Great Barrington and the drives are absolutely magnificent"Guest: Jamison Q.
