"For the second year, my childhood friends and I have stayed for a weekend at the Golden Hill Farm house and we are already planning our return for next year! This large house is perfect for our group of six with a well stocked kitchen, large dining table, and comfortable beds. Peaceful views out the window, birds, chickens, horses... The house is a short distance from great dining in Lenox, outlets in Lee, and New England charm in Great Barrington. Wendy and Tim are a pleasure to book with. Would recommend this house without reservation!"Guest: Lauren S. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 17, 2014View listing
"We rented the house for three days and had a wonderful stay. The house is very conveniently located, exceptionally clean, very well stocked, and very comfortable. The advertisement pictures precisely represent the house – although the house was a bit bigger than the pictures suggested. We particularly enjoyed the using the large kitchen table, perusing the area guidebooks, and resting on the very comfortable couch, chairs, and bed. Its proximity to the College and the organic grocery store Wild Oats is fantastic! Because we are tall, we were concerned after reading online reviews that the master bedroom ceiling might not allow us to move around comfortably, but it was no problem at all – the bedroom was quite comfortable. We had absolutely no problems during our stay and found Amy (our contact) professional, efficient, and a joy to correspond with. During our stay, we enjoyed talking short trips to Pittsfield to visit Arrowhead, Melville’s house, and to Sheffield to shop for antiques. Our favorite area restaurant is Mezze, located only a few minutes away, driving. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this house to others, particularly families of 3-4, or couples on vacation. It was ideal for our travel needs and far more comfortable than staying in a motel or hotel. We loved it! Thank you!"Guest: Tea & Cookies Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
"We are so happy to have chosen August Moon for our wedding venue. This beautiful, intimate location allowed us to house our entire bridal party for the weekend -- making the event that much more memorable. Our family and friends could not believe how gorgeous both the interior and exterior of the home was. No detail had been overlooked. Jill does an amazing job making you feel right at home as soon as you enter the property. We had the ceremony out by the wedding arbor in the clearing past the gardens. This is the most idyllic location you could ever imagine. Although it rained (lightly!) during the ceremony, it only added to the uniqueness of our day. The reception was in a tent by the tennis court, and we offered lawn games to friends and family during cocktail hour. Later in the evening guests kept warm by the fire and toasted marshmallows. This was exactly the relaxed, backyard feel we wanted for our wedding, but at a sprawling property with every amenity imaginable! Thank you, Jill, for making it possible! Amy & Mike"Guest: Amy S.
