"We rented this house for Labor Day/My Birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt so relaxed and happy. We didnt have great cell service (Sprint), but it really wasn't a problem. We spent the evenings playing board games or sitting out by the fire. Great place to get away and unplug!"Guest: Veronica U. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 8, 2014View listing
"I came to this house for three nights with my extended family and already look forward to returning. While we took a few excursions -- downhill skiing and to a local restaurant -- I would have been perfectly content to stay in this house and among its 200+ acres of land the whole time. Everything in the house is set up for maximal pleasure -- all the rooms are generous and have lovely views; the common areas are open and light; the kitchen allows for multiple cooks and loungers. We enjoyed Christmas morning in the living room beside a fire and the 12’ tree I was able to cut down right outside (with owners’ permission, of course). Outside, there was sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating (if so desired, on the small pond beside the wood-fired sauna building), and long walks among the rolling and open lands of the family compound. Even into the third day of the stay, I was still discovering things -- a tennis court in the woods above the house, a third floor study with a lofted bed, an excellent collection of cook books. Like this, the space made it easy for our family to share and retreat. It's hard to imagine a VRBO listing offering more."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 13, 2014View listing
"First, we couldn't have timed our wedding and honeymoon better with regards to the peak color changing season! Second, this like COMPLETELY SECLUDED getaway was so amazing to just relax for a week after months of planning, stress and an amazing wedding. I don't know how people take international trips or travel for their honeymoons, but i digress. This little place was perfect for a calm decompression and the little towns around it offer tons of quaint little things to do. We ate like royalty at, hidden little restaurants, found little wilderness ponds to hike around went on a ghost tour at The Mount in Lenox, saw David Sedaris at the Mahaiwe Theater in Great Barrington, saw a play at the Berkshire Theater Group and had dinner and listened to live music at the Dream Away Lodge. Other nights, we nestled up by the fire and played yahtzee, got our butt's kicked by 90's trivial pursuit (we both were teens in the 90's!!!) and made DELICIOUS bacon from the Chicken Farm store a few miles away. I'd also walk around the Otis cemetery. Some really old headstones and even Revolutionary War vets.... We were really impressed with the incredibly efficient use of space. That little fireplace can kick out some heat, for sure, and waking up to rain and looking out from the bed at the trees and ferns made for a perfect way to wake up. The cute little garden house added a nice feel to the place and we took a number of photos on the property with my wife in her wedding dress that were possibly better than the ones taken by our wedding photographer!!! KT was super helpful and responsive and we are looking forward to spending our first anniversary there. The only thing I would say was missing was an ironing board and iron. Enjoy your stay. I know we did!"Guest: Roger C. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 22, 2014View listing
"My wife and I were looking for a place in the woods and Donna's A frame fit the bill, warm and cozy. It is well equipted with everything (I mean everthing) you need for a stay, including wood for the firepit, gas grill, pots and pans, etc. Bill and lynn"Guest: bill Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
