"My brother, sister-in-law, dog and I came up for a weekend of downhill skiing at Butternut (in Great Barrington), and snowshoeing in Kennedy Park (in Lenox). This house was perfectly situated to both locations, and gave us a warm, comfortable home base in which to relax after our outings. Though central to these surrounding towns, it has the feeling of remoteness due to the amount of land and way it is tucked away in the woods. We found the house roomy, warm and well furnished, with comfortable beds and a nice eat-in kitchen. There is a magnificent fireplace which we used every night, with plenty of firewood and kindling available. Due to the snow cover, it was impossible for us to explore the grounds very much, but it looks to be a lovely place to come in the summer for hiking, etc. Thanks very much to the owners for allowing us the use of their lovely home! Hope to be back one day. :)"Guest: Serena Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 18, 2014View listing
"What a perfect spot! Walkable to the entire village with it's many shops and eateries. We even walked with our grandson to the village playground. And very close to The Mount and Norman Rockwell Museum both of which we visited. The apartment itself was perfect. Though there is only one bathroom, the upstairs has a vanity which really helps. There were 4 of us (one 5 year old) so it wasn't an issue. We were not bothered by street noise at night. The apartment bedrooms are to the back. Amazing kitchen! Not only tons of cookware and gadgets but also well stocked with herbs, condiments, etc. Only thing missing was a tea kettle. We would certainly return!"Guest: Mapleglen Date of Stay: October 2013 Review Submitted: October 23, 2013View listing
"Great secluded property that fit all of our needs. Multiple families stayed here and there was enough room for everyone. The house was clean and had all of the comforts and conveniences of home. Yard is spacious and secluded and kids played outside the whole time. Close enough to both downtown Great Barrington and Stockbridge if you want to grab a bite to eat. Loved it!!! Owner very easy to work with. Would go back in a second!"Guest: Robin L. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 29, 2014View listing
"We've just returned home from a 5 night stay at this lovely home in Hancock. The house is nicer in person than pictures. Spacious and well equipped. The grounds are simply gorgeous. Beautiful property. We enjoyed most of our meals outside at a wrought iron table. We made good use of the hammock between the kids playing on it, and the adults sneaking some time to read. We were fortunate to have gorgeous weather, and made a campfire each evening with supplies that were provided for us. Bruce and Amanda were lovely, accessible, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, shops, etc. We had a great day at jiminy Peak, also Mt Greylock, Stockbridge, a local swimming pond, and more..."Guest: Holly Date of Stay: August 2013 Review Submitted: August 28, 2013View listing
