A True Gem Perfect for Family Gatherings - Quintessential Cape!
"THANK YOU for sharing your exquisite property with our family. This is the perfect summer home for extended family gatherings and one of the best vacation properties we have rented. We would highly recommend this house to any family seeking a True Cape experience. The owner is an interior designer and her passion and skills are revealed in this showroom house -- loaded with family heirloom antiques and original artwork. There are very few vacation properties in this area which have this much historic character, tasteful design and comfort. The rambling antique property is divided into two main wings -- the original 1740 cottage with 2 bedrooms (including the master suite) and the barn extension with 3 additional bedrooms (2 bedrooms are connected which is perfect for young parents who want an attached kids room). This setup was perfect for our multi-generational family so the grandparents could enjoy some peace on one end with our little toddlers running around on the other end of the property. Each bedroom is decorated in a unique and special way. We felt like we were staying in our own private, antique B&B! We enjoyed gathering for family dinners in the farmhouse kitchen. The house has the best kitchen we have ever enjoyed in a vacation property - We love cooking and its clear the owners do as well given the huge professional oven, large kitchen island and the great array of Creuset pans and kitchen utensils. And after tucking the kids in at night, the grown-ups would enjoy a night-cap under the stars in the "Secret Garden." The Website listing does not do justice to the property's grounds. The in-ground pool is private and perfect for cooling off after a full day at the beach. There is also a sprawling 2 acre lawn -- our kids had plenty of room to run around and play soccer. We really enjoyed riding our bikes on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. There are also several family-friendly restaurants within walking distance. We also had fun going to Cape Baseball games which are just a short bike ride away. The owners are a delight -- very responsive and helpful. This amazing property represents everything that true Summer Cape vacations are all about -- we are definitely coming back and can't wait to return. Highly Recommended."

"Our family spent a week in this townhouse. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us. It was so nice for us all to have space to relax at the beginning and end of the day. We had everything we needed there to cook and wash clothing. We used the indoor pools quite a bit, which were a quick bike ride from the place. We also went to the Mansions side for their s'mores night! The area is nice a quiet at night which is great. The only downside for us (which had nothing to do with the actual townhouse) was the location from the bike trail. Our kids love riding the trail, but it was a bit too far for us to ride our bikes to and we'd have to go on the main road of the resort. I would have preferred being closer to the trail to not have to use the car at all."

"Over the years, my family has stayed at several places on Cape Cod, including homes in Brewster. This year we needed a place for my wife and I, my daughter and son-in-law and our two grandsons. This house was perfect!
This is easily one of the very best places we have rented. The listing is 100% accurate. The house was spic and span and it is beautifully maintained. All of the appliances (refrigerator, stovetop, oven, washer and dryer, etc.) were exactly as described and all were in perfect working order. Internet access was excellent and the Cable reception and available channels was as good as I have ever had in a rental property. The basement downstairs was an added plus providing a separate area for viewing DVD's or local TV, as well as for playing ping-pong, or just relaxing in a separate quiet area.
The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. The location is very near the Cape Cod Rail trail which was a major plus for me. I was able to ride my bike every morning. Also the little beach at the end of the street was very nice. We also spent time at lovely Breakwater beach which is 5 minutes away. Also we spent a day in Provincetown to go whale watching which was wonderful.
The owner was very easy to work with and was very helpful with any questions we had. He also provided recommendations that were exactly on target.
All in all, everyone had a great time and we highly recommend the Brewster Vacation Getaway."

"My fiancee and I had a lovely stay at this Ocean Edge home. The location is fantastic for exploring the entire cape and and the owner went out of her way to ensure that our stay was relaxing and comfortable.
Regarding this home: the furniture is comfortable (slept very well!), the kitchen is in good condition and had all of the supplies that we needed, and the two bathrooms were recently renovated and were sparkling clean. The internet was speedy and worked well for researching local info, though the excellent and thoughtful guide book provided most everything that we needed. We particularly enjoyed waking up every morning and having coffee on the sunny back patio.
The Ocean Edge Resort is very well run and has excellent facilities. The tennis courts are in top shape.
The location is convenient to everything on the cape. We drove up to Provincetown one morning and had plenty of time to visit the Marconi station of the National Seashore in the afternoon, take a nap on the beach, and hike the cedar swamp trail. Access to the bike trail is super close to the resort. Lots of food options in the area as well."
