  • don't know what this means

"Anyone who finds this gem is very lucky as it is a very very special place. Pictures don't do it justice. Extremely comfortable, clean as a whistle. Have booked for next year already."

  • Why we keep coming back

"Of all the places on the Cape, Wellfleet is the most special. And of all the special places in Wellfleet, this house on Great Pond has become our most treasured. While the house itself is a striking bit of architecture with all the amenities you need, it is also in keeping with its rustic setting. The experience is all about nature and being on the pond. Where else can you step off your deck and take a midnight paddle under a full moon? If you have kids, you can watch them swim out to the dock while preparing dinner in the kitchen. If it's the beach you're after, it's just a mile away. If you want to head to town, you can get there in minutes without having to negotiate Rte. 6. This is the perfect house with responsive, attentive hosts."

  • Nature & access to the Cape!

"This charming cottage was a perfect place for my family and I to stay during our vacation. Traveling a distance (NY and Washingtion DC) the location of Buzzards Bay at the beginning of the Cape's arm was convenient to get to and also a good base to do day trips to the different beaches, towns and tourist attractions. Starting at the local canal celebrating it's 100 birthday...(CC Ice Cream is a must in town!) to the tip of the Cape...this being our first time in the area, we did it all!...The best was when we got back we could kick back .. so inviting was to just enjoy nature in the backyard. The description is accurate regarding the cottage but the backyard and view were under estimated....relaxing, nature to enjoy. We could have done things differently and just hung around locally. Bob advised us about our kayaks, but the sunsets across the road were a lovely surprise gift.... If I had to be a critic I would say although the kitchen was well equipped...I would have preferred my bigger frying pan for eggs and regular coffee maker..it's just a family thing...lol!.. The cottage was charming, with hints of love, art, and of course nature as well...we had a great time. Thank you Bob... for sharing your home."

  • Great Location, Everything we needed

"From the outside, the house is very deceiving. It was a great house and is surprisingly spacious with it's unique layout. We had 8 people and it fit us comfortably. The living room is perfect for a larger group and we never felt crammed. Owner is very attentive to your needs, and the beach pass is a huge plus. Also, I loved the keyless entry which helps in larger groups. The acoustics of the house are great, you can't hear much noise of people in the kitchen or living room from the bedrooms. 3 bathrooms were great (little small on the shower size), and the house is located on a perfect spot between the beach and main street Hyannis. I'd highly recommend and the price was very reasonable."
