  • A perfect vacation home

"This is an ideal home to share with family or good friends. Everything you'd need or want is provided for - including gorgeous perennial gardens. The quality of furnishings are top notch and the layout of the house allows for plenty of room for everyone. The location is ideal for those who love the outdoors. Nearby is a nice tennis court, the beach is a short walk away and the Cape Cod bike path is less than a mile from the house. Most importantly, Martha was great at responding to questions and making sure we had a terrific weekend. Thanks for everything!"

  • Year after year, this cottage continues to delight us

"We come back year after year, and each time we are struck by how welcoming this cottage is; the owners think of many details to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable! We’ve never stayed at a cottage that was so well maintained, with so many thoughtful touches. The owners go out of their way to make sure we have everything we need. When we bring guests or family, they, too, are blown away by the water views, the sunsets, the pristine private saltwater beach on Follins Pond, the private dock, and the proximity to everything (beaches, parks, Cape Cod Baseball League games, mini golf, antique stores, great restaurants, supermarkets...). There are plenty of windows in the cottage, with lovely cross breezes. It’s fantastic to walk out of your bedroom in the morning and be greeted by a wall of windows looking out at the water! We love hanging out on the spacious deck, and the screened gazebo (with ceiling fan and light) is a cool private outdoor room -- and a great retreat on rainy days. The table in the inside dining area is a draw for board games, and there’s plenty of room to eat at the kitchen island or on the deck if the game lasts into mealtime. All of the common areas are open and flow into each other, and the water view is a constant backdrop. The space is flexible, and you can be as private or as communal you wish. One thing that stands out about this cottage is that it can easily accommodate a lot of people without feeling crowded, but it also feels perfect when only two or three of us stay there. We also really appreciate the gas grill; washer and drier; out-of-the-way clothesline for wet towels; two full bathrooms; and the private outdoor shower by the back door. And of course the fact that our dog is welcome! The owners are perfect hosts. They’re very responsive and helpful, but also totally respect our privacy. It’s been 3 weeks since we left, and we’re still feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by our latest stay there. We’ll be back!"

  • Highly Recommend - Cue

"We were excited to write this review as we have now arrived back home from our trip to Cape Cod the last week in August 2014. It was absolutely beautiful weather!! The beauty of the Cape is breathtaking. We had an awesome time and our accommodations at this cottage were perfect and met our needs. We didn’t sweat the small stuff. The history behind it is incredible. We made it our home away from home – so much nicer than a hotel, etc. We met the owner Ed briefly – he was helpful and got back to us with answers to our questions. It is actually a perfect place to stay in the Cape Cod area as it is centrally located to all the neighboring towns for day trips and excursions. I would highly recommend this and we would stay here again definitely."
