"We wanted to come to Cape Cod for a Monday through Friday stay and had a hard time finding a place until I came upon this house on the pond. It was perfect! Dave and Doris let us rent the house for the week stay.
The house was clean and well stocked, we enjoyed grilling and relaxing on the back patio. The neighborhood was quiet and serene, my nieces enjoyed evening walks. DVD movie selection was good to. We would highly recommend. Great for a relaxing vacation."

"I can honestly say this is the best VRBO property that we have stayed in. The house easily accommodated our extended family of nine.
The owners were very friendly and were very helpful in informing us of the different sites and restaurants.
The house was immaculate. It had every imaginable device needed for an extended stay and more dishes than you count. The layout offered privacy and spaciousness. The furniture was tasteful and comfortable.
The outside property was suitable for the kids games.
It is in a rural area of Cape Cod and very quiet. Access to main Cape Cod roads was easy, but I would could not recommend Cape Cod in July as the traffic was brutal, which of course is no fault of the owner. It was about a ninety minute drive to Provincetown for the whale watching.
I would high recommend Captain Jack's for families that don't need water front property."

"Our family of 14-16 stayed here for a week and are already looking forward to returning. It's not easy to find homes with a lot of bedrooms plus the living space to accommodate a crowd. Southwest at Little Harbor does this and does it well. There are plenty of comfortable Adirondack chairs and a large picnic table with umbrella on the patio, a great spot to have coffee in the morning, lunch, or cocktails at sunset. The living room (if you ever want to leave the beach or patio) has ample, comfortable seating and lighting, and it is especially nice that the TV is in a separate room. Also, there are smaller rooms on each end of the house on the first floor that were perfect play areas for our grandkids to spread out their toys, yet still be close to the action. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms were appreciated, and the beds comfortable, with plenty of towels in the linen closet. There is plenty of room for cooking both inside and at the grill, and the kitchen was well equipped. The water in Buzzard's Bay is fairly calm and shallow, so it is good for the little ones. The beach was nearly our own each day, with a few friendly walkers and swimmers during the week. We had some great wind for sailing, and some calm days for kayaking. There isn't a huge amount of boat traffic, other than seeing the huge vessels in the distance that are heading in to the canal, which is extraordinary to see. We were also pleased not to have to cross the Bourne Bridge, which can be a traffic nightmare in the summer; shopping and an excellent farm stand are within a few miles. Traffic here is not at all like what you'd get further out on the Cape, a huge plus for us. This is a beautiful spot that we will gladly return to."
