Beautiful and Relaxing
"We have been coming to the Isaac Bea / Mercy Bea for 5 years because it feels like home.. The house is beautifully furnished with antiques, artwork, china, and glassware and all the windows and antique wood plank floors make the house delightfully light and airy. The location and setting are perfect for my 4 kids: close enough to walk into town to shop or get ice cream, across from the ballpark where we watch the Anglers' home games, and close enough to the beach to walk or ride our bikes. We spent a lot of nights cooking our own meals this year, rather than eating out, and ate out on the deck, overlooking Oyster Pond . Mornings, while the teenagers enjoy a lazy schedule, my younger kids attend the Anglers baseball camp, and I sit in the garden, sipping coffee, reading my book, and enjoying the beautiful secret garden. After a long day on the beach or paddling kayaks, we come home to the fabulous outside shower and then hang our wet towels and suits on the line to dry in the breeze. That same breeze blows through the open windows and shutters into the kitchen and living room, and we sit and play cards in the evening around the big kitchen table. Thank you Janet for another great vacation! See you next year!"

"This is a truly charming cottage with a very short walk to the beach. The house is outfitted with everything we needed, including games (for that one rainy morning), books (novels, children's, local detail), well outfitted kitchen, great deck and beautiful flowers. It's an idillic neighborhood, too."

review of adorable antiique cottage in chatham, cape cod
"recently my husband, son and daughter-in-law and their baby spent a delightful week at the antique cottage in Chatham....it's not an antique! It's a wonderful, fully equipped, air conditioned house within walking distance of two beaches with a lovely screen porch and a delightful back yard. The house was tastefully decorated but very comfortable. Beach equipment, a gas grill, chairs, toys, games, internet, two tvs-the house had it all...and it was immaculate. Having rented other homes, I can highly recommend this cottage for anyone who loves the Cape and wants to be in Chatham."

"So much fun! Too much time passes between family reunions and you forget how important they are! 16 of us rearranged our busy schedules for a "must do" gathering on Cape Cod. Friends recommended Chatham and they were right! We had never been to Chatham before and delighted in its laid-back, fisherman lifestyle. Lots of magnificent fancy new homes, but a vintage charm dotted by antique cottages and quaint shops. A worthy history lesson for all of us! Everything to do, yet nothing to do. Perfect!! The house was amazing, everything we wanted and more, and we recommend it highly. This was a great place to gather where you also had your space and privacy."
