  • Relaxing family vacation spot

"The antique cottage in Chatham is the perfect house for a relaxing family vacation. We visited early fall when the leaves were changing, and we had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable- we felt as if we were right at home the minute we walked in the door. The rooms have plenty of antique charm but are updated and well taken care of and equipped with all of your needs such as: a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the kitchen, two TVs with cable, Wi-Fi, etc...There is plenty of space to spread out. My wife and I stayed with our newborn and we had both sets of our parents come and stay with us throughout the week. We were all very comfortable- there are two dining spaces- one in the kitchen and one dining area making it easy to relax and have family dinners. The sun porch is cozy and a nice place to relax. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach which wasn't crowded. We found some affordable, delicious restaurants in the area and the supermarket in town was great and had all of the needs for our growing newborn. We wish the weather was better so we could enjoy the fire pit outback- looks like fun! All in all, the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable for the entire family. We would love to return. We highly recommend this house as a relaxing getaway for your family vacation."

  • Owners lovely!

"Forgot to mention earlier that the owners were readily available and went out of their way to assist us. One of the guys in my group had ordered a hat to be shipped to the Cape and the owner of the house came by and delivered it, as the mail to the house gets forwarded to his PO box. We thought we had a small issue which turned out to be nothing, but he came by anyways. Correspondence was easy and speedy."

  • Perfect historic downtown location!

"Absolutely charming, had everything we needed plus a delightful little porch and walking distance to downtown! The owners have put a lot of thought into preparing for guests at their historic home. Fascinating history lesson about the history of the house and its previous owners as well, wish we had a copy of the book!"

  • Perfect!

"My husband and I - and our dog - stayed here in mid-September. The house is beautiful, well-kept and has all of the amenities you could ever need. The backyard is amazing - fully-fenced, which our dog loved, with a large grill, fire pit, ping pong table, etc. The location was perfect for us - so close to everything, within walking distance to downtown Chatham and Shore Rd., Lighthouse Beach, etc. (the only reason we didn't walk is that it's a main road with lots of fast traffic and no sidewalks. :)) We felt at home instantly, and being able to bring our dog with us on the trip made it all the better - especially since we were nearing off-season, so we were able to bring him onto many of the beaches (technically not open to dogs until 9/15), and most of the stores in downtown Chatham were very dog-friendly! We'd come back to this house in a heartbeat - thanks to the owners, David and Evelyn, who were so helpful and accessible before and during our stay!"
