A wonderful stay in a wonderful location
"I booked the Windmill as a surprise present for my wife and took our two year old, having first spent a few days in Boston. I cannot fault the Windmill in terms of its location or position. It's a few minutes walk from Chatham high street where there's enough going on to make it feel that there's something going on and people about (we visited end of October so cant speak about other times). To save repeating other posts - the location is wonderful, on the edge of the water, lovely to look out on during the day and allowing lovely autumn sunsets. Chatham's position on the Cape means it's equidistant from all the key attractions, but has the relaxed pace that make you feel as if you are away.
Being a character property, the stairs are steep and wooden, which our daughter loved but caused us a bit of angst, but what else would you expect from a Windmill. It didnt detract from the stay, just to make others aware. The rest of the windmill is beautifully decorated with enough mod cons to suit 2 (or 2.5) adults.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Stan and Linda, the owners.
Thank you for making our stay at the Windmill such a memorable experience and adding to our holiday. We feel really lucky to have stayed there and hope to visit again. I dont hesitate for a second in recommending the Windmill or the other properties within the plot

"A good location, well furnished and comfortable. TV/cable service and coffee maker could use upgrades. 2nd floor location with sloped roof could make it difficult for taller people. A good place to stay in Chatham. Bed was very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping away from home, but no problem here."

"We just spent a week at this home at it was a WONDERFUL vacation for all. Martha answered all of my questions before our trip and checked in with us during the week as well. The house was spotless upon our arrival and it was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need! Every couple had their own bedroom AND bathroom and many enjoyed the outdoor shower as well. The kitchen made cooking and grilling there so easy and enjoyable. The neighborhood is very peaceful and it is a short walk to Forest Beach. All bed linens and beach towels are provided as well which makes packing a breeze. I hope to return to this home again in the future. Thanks Martha!"

"This was our second stay. Nice convenient location to Ridgevale Beach. House is designed really well. Our daughter, husband and 2 boys stayed downstairs in the 2 bedroom, bathroom and small family area. We shared the main living room and kitchen, and we had the suite upstairs, with our own private deck!. The house is roomy (we had 2 extra guests one night), the decks and tables spacious, and the walk to the beach a few minutes! There are 2 TV's, a hook up for your music, WI-FI, and the washer dryer is a plus. We were there for a couple hot days and it was nice to have air conditioning when needed. Everything is new and the kitchen is well stocked. Considering a third stay!!!!"
