"My wife and I plus our Golden Retiever spent a week here in mid August. The location was perfectly situated, just a short walk across some dunes to the beach which seemed frequented by more wildlife than people.... stunning. The cottage was cozy with all amenities from big screen iMac and printer for those google maps, flat screen TV and well stocked kitchen. We used the propane grill nearly every night, enjoying local seafood and vegetables. There was a nice little breakfast place within a morning dogs walk away. It was also a relatively short ( always depending on time of day ) drive up the coast to enjoy other picturesque beaches at the National Sea Shore and Provincetown. The cottage is adjacent to the owners home who was incredibly hospitable and provided a wealth of suggestions wittily described for supplies, restaurants and local knowledge. The pizza was killer! We had a terrific vacation and will definitely be going back in the future."Guest: Jakesdad Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
"What a great house to vacation in! Excellent location in the lovely town of Chatham, minutes to the center of town and convenient to all of the beaches. Beautifully furnished with all the amenities. Our family of four adults and children aged 4, 12 and 15 are very particular and were as pleased as punch. Owner couldn't have been easier to deal with. We have rented summers in Chatham off and on for many years and this house is at the top of the list. What more can I say?"Guest: Jack B. "We stayed here for one week in August with two young children and had a wonderful time. This is a beautiful and well cared for home with lovely flower-filled gardens, abundant bird life (we saw hummingbirds one afternoon!), and a small ornamental pond stocked with koi for the kids to feed. Dining outside on the deck enveloped by the scent of phlox and listening to the tinkling of the water fountains makes for an enchanting evening. The house itself is about 10-15 minutes from a safe and beautiful beach on Pleasant Bay, with few waves and a gradual drop-off which makes it perfect for small children. Ten minutes' drive will take you into Chatham center whereas access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path is a scenic 1.7 miles away. There are numerous opportunities for scenic walks in the immediate area as well. The house had every amenity we could have wished for except perhaps fitness equipment, though I question whether we would have used it even if it had been available. There is a fitness club with day / weekly memberships 1.5 miles down the road but I must admit we never took advantage of the opportunity. The steam bath upstairs was a particular attraction for both adults. And for those who like to read or listen to music there is a well-stocked library of books and CD's. Many thanks to John and MaryLou for creating a wonderful environment to relax in. We're guessing we'll need to make reservations early in order to get a spot for next year...!"Guest: Michael A. "This is an immaculate vacation home. The view from the deck of the sunrise over Taylor's pond is to be remembered. My family of four stay here for the week in August and were treated to a quintessential Cape Cod vacation. The house is close to all attractions in Chatham yet secluded, and only an hour-long boat ride to Nantucket. For those sporty enough, try kayaking to a secluded beach from the backyard or from the boat launch just down the road. After a long day of activities, relax on the deck with a slice of bumbleberry pie from Marion's."Guest: Capecoder Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 14, 2014View listing
